  • Would you please explain what a "vote bot" is. I don't understand how this works. Thank you.

  • You do not know who it is that has done this. But as a hardcore christain, I too will tell you tube they are wrong. Far is far. Coz did nothing wrong.

  • hi greenstar, this is my new channel.

  • Filed.

Always glad to help. I never heard of them, but i support what their doing.

  • YouTube, Fix that fucking broken flagging system.

Otherwise it will keep getting exploited.

  • Youtube is doing this on purpose. It wants to get rid of controversy and instead focus on politically friendly channels and professional content providers. As they have been quoted, they want to compete with cable networks.

In the end they are going to do what ever makes them the most money. They do not advocate free speech when it's bad for business.

122,000 views and an audience of one thousand subs isn't even a drop in the bucket to them.

  • Ha, I don't watch cable cause its boring and pointless. I guess I'll have to stop watching Youtube too,.

  • I haven't had cable tv in about 10 years because of that exact reason. plus hulu is awesome and I can watch star trek episodes in high def on any given trekkie whim :D

  • Complaint sent.

  • done.

  • Complaint sent. Us atheists need to stick together.

  • Complaint sent.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Cheers

  • Nathan seriously needs to CALM THE FUCK DOWN and speak in a normal tone maybe once in a while.

  • LOL. Maybe, but he's fighting for a good cause.

  • Of course I agree on the principle here, but what you guys don't understand is that this isn't a public forum, so free speech doesn't really apply.

YouTube can pull someone's account down for whatever reasons they want, and they don't have to give any good reason for it.

  • Why do people keep making this stupid argument?

Just because a company has the legal right to fuck people over doesn't mean they should just bend over and invite it to do so.

  • Don't get me wrong man, I'm not saying I agree with their processes, nor am I saying we should enjoy what they're doing... the main point is that it's completely legal for them to do so.

I also agree with fighting for something you want, and/or fighting for a cause, so I'm with you guys.. but the whole "free speech" term should be left out - it just sounds silly as it doesn't apply at all on a privately owned forum.

  • I agree, but on the other hand, they allow anybody to join. They are under no obligation to give anyone a platform, you're right about that, BUT once they do give somebody a platform, to take it away on a whim, that is morally objectionable to say the least.

  • I agree, it's definitely morally objectionable... but my point remains - it has nothing to do with free speech! lol

  • You could use the same logic to say free speech doesn't apply in most media that matters: Television, Newspapers etc.

So where does it apply? Your lounge-room only? If there is no free speech in public media then maybe its effectively the same as having no or little free speech at all. Public media should have some responsibility.

  • Yeah, there is free speech in a public setting, however this is technically not a public setting since YouTube is a privately owned company, and this is a corporately controlled environment - they have user agreements and TOS in black and white explaining their right to suspend anyone for any reason, whether we agree with it or not.

Now, that said, if the suspension turns out to be unfounded or frivolous, his account will be reinstated. I highly doubt bitching about it will do any good...

  • TOS puts the TOS on Tosser :)

I think YT is fairly public.

I think bitching about it is a great way to try and do some good. Should we all be silent while YT rapes users to cover their own pathetic ass? YT deserves extinction with this sort of garbage behaviour.

  • That's total bullshit!

  • Yup. And I've emailed all addresses I can think of.
