  • I discovered this song by accident and I was baked and I swear it was magical..

  • incredibly annoying base line.

  • orzabal dance,simply the best!!

  • nice

  • My favorite Synth SONG OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!

  • any one know where i can get tff on concert on dvd pls

  • @newtothis0001

I have this entire concert on DVD, Message me.

  • @Lazerrus would be interested

  • TFF is incomparable :) they have an eerie reaching-into-your-soul sound that I don't understand but go completely nuts for. This song's one of my faves from TFF, I have this on CD, in my ipod, and I still love watching this vid. Must be Roland's dancing and the way he sings that get me hypnotized :) I just love them.. TFF completes me :)

  • Ihad bought a cd of them containing 13 hits, and thought i´d seen, (better say) heard all the best fromTFF. That was until yesterday, when I accidently found this "can´t-take-it-outta-my-head" song! Ab Fab!!

  • @nigelguliver22 Many of the best songs aren't "hits". You should consider buying the albums...not just the greatest hits. I feel a little sorry for people who are Tears for Fears fans but only know the hits. They have albums that are brilliant from beginning to end.

  • @nigelguliver22 You should check out "Saturnine Martial and Lunatic" which is a collection made in the 90s, it includes their more obscure ones like Schroedinger's Cat, Ashes to Ashes, Sea Song, and others. If you like this album, you will love it. It is probably available on Amazon.

  • awsome live performance.one of akind

  • any one know if theres any plans to come to Ireland

  • no other band comes close to the passion of their music.. unbelievable.

"suffer the children" really is the base or beginning point of Roland Orzabal's direction in music

  • thanks for your comments

if no answer, is because I'm busy

    greetings

  • the hurting cd

does say that caroline sings child vocal

  • Cheers. :D

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOttt!!! I can't believe it- Suffer the Children live!! - I didn't know it existed... :) :D :D :D

I wondered if Caroline was going to make an appearance for one wild moment.. :) :)... apparently she did the 'child' vocals... does anyone know if that's true?

  • @melissastrawbridge- That's true. Apparently Caroline's vocal samples were used sometimes for the live performances of this song.

  • goddamn!!!.... that guy nailed those drums... awesome

  • OMG, I love/miss this song! =) TFF FOREVER!!!

  • the beauty of this song is the lyrics .songs in the 80s pop charts were usually frivolous affairs but TFF lyrics were deep and emotional, and usually not in in the "boy loves girl"way.

  • great song!!!

  • Napalm has two songs with both titles from tears for fears. Killing with kindness as Suffer the children. Fuckin jockers

  • its fun the antagonism of Suffer... of Napalm Death and teras for fears, sorry have to say.

  • Rollie Dolly!! Caroline was lucky to be married to such a handsome boy

  • is a good song.

  • this song wanna make me cry

  • It's a sad affair. When there's no one there. He calls out in the night...

He's dependant on you, and I'm dependant on Tears For Fears.

    FOREVER

    AND EVER.

  • i grew up with this shit, stolen record at carrefour, teenage years, absolutely swear by it. now why don't you try out some charly garcía songs to go with these same years?

  • ' He's an only child, in an only room '

    Suffer the Children

    LA LALA LALALA LALALALALA LALALA

  • I was looking for 'Suffer the Children' with Napalm Death, I had no idea that Tears for Fears had made a song with the same name.

Not what i was looking for but not too bad either. Maybe I should get myself a Tears for Fears album :)

  • I would highly recommend it. =)

  • He's dependant on you and I DEPEND ON TEARS FOR FEARS TO LIVE...=D

  • roland i love you baby!!!

  • I love this song more and more every time I hear it!

  • 'the hurting" was and is and will always be a class album, curt and roland had two different voices thats why tff are the best 80s band in my view, love the end of this song with curts ex doing some lyrics.

  • the woman doing the la la's is rolands wife caroline. she is also credited in the album

  • Really? I didn't know that. Dang. I wish she had been there live becuase I've been trying to catche a glimpse of the lucky lady for a long time! But I suposse she values her privacy... crazy.

  • Exactly angeldixie. Curt and Roland have two different voices that blend well together in harmony, and each has amazing vocals in their solos. Together, they were absolutely sensational.

  • Such a beauitful song, telling a story of their rough childhood, but still passing it off as music. Tears For Fears are geniuses, one of the many 80's bands that are. 70's and 80's music is the reason I live, not to mention Roland Orzabal (faints at name), today's music is nothing but rapping and people that can't sing, utter crap!

  • why , why couldn't i have been there, or any other place that i discover now, only to realize i have missed out on so much, being born in '85!?! it should've been '65... just my thought...

  • omg you were born the same year madonna was doing her like a virgin tour!!! how awesom is that!!! ♥

  • I was also born in 85, I love this song.

  • Love this song. When I was young I always hoped I would not turn into on of those old farts that listen to nothing but old crap. Now in my 40s I find myself listening to a lot this old stuff. I want to listen to new artists but I just can't get into this corporate garbage they pass off as music nowadays. And they wonder why their sales are steadily going down.

  • Don't feel bad man because all of the old stuff is way better than the current music that is out.I'd take the music from the 80's and 90's than this mellinium shit any day.

  • hell yeah now thats what im talking about!! pink floyd and all the other oldies are #1 the 2000's music should be burned

  • Like other comments, clean capture. Thanks for posting this song because it is one of my favorites and this sounds even better then the album.

You wouldn't happen to have Mad World Live?

  • Amazing song. Great band! It really reflects on their childhhood, its good how they made it into beautiful music instead of going crazy.

  • love it

  • the lyrics are so intense, so sad. I feel for them. A rough childhood was probably so difficult.

  • @darkallie11 Yeah that's probably why they appeal to a lot of people.

  • TFF un o d elos mejores grupos!!!!!1

    no apto para mediocres

  • any 1 no where i can get this on dvd or cd

  • try googling it.

  • I think Tears For Fears would be wise to get back to more of an electronica-based sound if they are going to do another album. This stuff is terrific.

  • Hey I'm not gay but if I was I'd totally date this guy he is awesome.

  • I am, but I'd date the drummer.

  • This is better-sounding than the studio version. Wow.

  • only complaint i have is...why wasnt this clip added earlier?!

  • o my god how much do i love this

  • wat verslavend is dit gewoon geweldige muziek

  • roland if your here I LOVE THE HECK OUTA YOUR 80S SELF

  • roland roland de la quintana sexy boy sexy boy sexy boy

  • great thanks

  • my very fave tears for fears song of all time!! I remember this song form my pree teen days!!!

  • Me too, all the Arkies made fun of me, they're a bunch of hicks.

  • what is the bat cave?

  • It's a caVE WERE BATMAN KEEPS HIS CAR.oooH YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE CLUB.dON'T KNOW.mAYBE A CLUB IN ENGLAND.

  • Brilliant

  • I taped "Suffer The Children" off of WLIR-FM (Long Island, NY - yeah!) years ago; it was part of the King Biscuit Flower Hour. Roland chastised the Bat Cave right before they broke into doing this. It remains my ultimate favorite of that concert, and it's super to see your video. Thanks so much.

  • Excellent Song...

  • One great song by Tears for Fears.

    I think the first single...

I like very much this version many different for the included in "The Hurting" CD /LP. Brilliant!
