台湾は統治しましたが、植民地としてではなく日本人と同じ権利を持つ同化政策で
「同じ目線」で一緒に反映していこうという大東亜共栄圏という壮大なスケールの思想をもって行動していました。
日本のやり方が植民地支配を主とする欧米諸国などに不満と恐れを抱かせたのです。
台湾の皆さんが個人的レベルまで「日本は大好き」という感情で発言してくれてるのは嘘や捏造ではないという事を証明しています。
日本は中国なんかの顔色を伺わないで正式に台湾との国交樹立を早期に確立した方が両国の国益になるんじゃないでしょうか。

Taiwanese are aware that Japan exploited Taiwan as written in majority of historical books and in the movie "SEEDIQ BALE" (basically about conflicts between Taiwan and Japan). Please google it so everyone can understand what exactly happened back then! Majority of comments below need more evidence...

@MsShihwei Yeah however we didn't colonize Taiwan to "help" Taiwan's development or something, we colonized Taiwan for the Japan's territorial gain nothing more nothing less, and we built railway, schools etc there for the Japanese NOT to "help" the Taiwan's development. WTF is with some of that kind of logic here???

@JapanHighwayDrive Taiwan was Japan's Territory so the people were considered citizens. That's just like saying you didn't build schools in Okinawa to "help" ryukyuu people, only to make it comfortable for "Japanese." In Taiwan it was MANDATORY for all Taiwanese to attend school. Why bother forcing the Taiwanese to go to school?
