@blazinchalice It's actually the exact opposite. Dave closed the doors on big deals. He left to get out of fame, and that's where he's been to this day, only appearing in the spotlight every once and awhile. When asked if he will ever return to TV or the spotlight he replied that fame is like a drug and he's trying to get off of it. He wants to live a normal life with his family and only do small stand ups every once and awhile. He's kind of making a comeback though so we'll see how it goes.

The shot of Dave walking away from the yellow brick road is the most apt thing I've ever seen any comedian do. He walked away from a CRAP TON of money just so he could live with himself. And judging by this, also because he knew pursuing fame and fortune to an even bigger degree than he already had was just like a yellow brick road to Oz.
