I don't see why symbian is outdated, nor is it the worse in the world. It is still the most used OS in the world, AND THE MOST STABLE ONE ! (proved everywhere) and it has a huge apps library, probably the biggest ever, since symbian is around for many years. smoothness is about the cpu and how the manufacturer codes his phone. in every OS there is fast and slow mobile phones. (jet is pretty laggy and has Android 2.1) .

You only refer to smoothness and buggy or not (wich is false, symbian is the most stable mobile OS) so I can see you are pretty new to this, otherwise you would refer other aspects of an OS

@Zyphon400 Yes, I've used smartphones only few years and cheaper phones for since 90's, but I know Symbian for long time, and have used many kind of phones. UIQ and many S40, S60, S80 phones. UIQ in Sony-Ericsson was pretty laggy, and those other S60 and S80 have been laggy too, of course I know that they are old phones, and hardware isn't the latest. S40 isn't bad, because it's designed for the cheaper phones, and it's working okay. CPU isn't the only thing, what makes OS sluggy.

@Zyphon400 The GPU makes the OS smoothness too, not only CPU. And pretty much of those Smybian phones doesn't have detached GPU. Example of old iPhone, which have 400+mhz CPU, it's a lot more smoother, than example Nokia's 5530 etc. Okay, I'll take my words back, that without Symbian, we wouldn't have this whole smartphone generation. It was the start. :) So don't explode mate. =D

Hardware on this phone is great. DivX/XviD support is really useful.

But S60 is absolutely obsolete and S60v5 is a huge stepdown from S60v3 in terms of variety of apps.

The Omnia has a bigger screen 3.7inch, but doesnt have multi touch screen.. the wave has it, but it has smaller screen 3.3inch, wave is more powerfull than Omnia and it has the new Bada OS, Omnia runs symbian, and i dont like symbian that much :/ ,so i'm very indecisive :/

im looking for a VGA device with keyboard. wifi is obvious need, prefferrably wm 6.5, if not avaible on that phone then 6.1 and 5 both are okay, wm2003se is not okay and under that. high end device with at least 500 mhz and 64MB of ram. I've had it since October. What sucks about it is that the GPS software costs money to use and that the battery dies very quickly sometimes. Also, you can't use the 2nd camera to take pics of urself. Other than that, I cant think of any problems

Capacitive is touchscreen tech, where the electrons from your finger manoeuvre the touchscreen, as opposed to resistive, which sensed pressure. Capacitive offers better sensitivity.
