UK Surgeon Laparoscopic Anterior Resection for cancer

Had this operation on Monday 14th November 2011 after being diagnosed with cancer several weeks earlier. My operation was at 10:00 AM and by 21:00 I was having a cup of tea. I was mobile on Tuesday, gently at first, startred back on solid food on wednesday, and discharged from hospital on Friday 18th at midday.

No! Morbidity is a lot greater if you combine bowel surgery with a vascular graft! It was less than 5cm so it is just being monitored at the moment.

Trust they sorted out his AAA while they were in there?
