My grandfather was there in midway on a DE. He was a AA loader. Wish he was still alive I have so much to ask him. so much regret that i wasnt old enough to know better to ask him.
My Grandfather fought at Milne Bay. To my dying day I will always feel such immense gratitude and pride that it was our Army that first defeated the Japanese and that Pa was there. RIP Allan Thomas Northcote. I certainly feel no animosity toward Japan now, in a sense all who fought were victims of the bestial insanity of war; I ofen wonder though, what was stirring in the breast of Japan that made them committ such acts that neccesitated wars such as these?
