  • How is that make sense? lawn require a lot of water, fertilizer, mowing, herbicide and lacks of providing habitat to the native wildlife. lawns are ugly too (my opinion of course). Florida native vegetation is where it is at. plant native flower, trees, ferns, shrubs, palms and see the water quality go up, etc...

  • @dimitrigregorieff Unfortunately native species are fragile and incapable of doing the filtering and processing of dust, pollen and pollution that urban environs produce.Turf is durable, reduces Co2, cools the planet, reduces electrical usage and is the greatest filter plant grown in the urban environment - filtering out dust, pollen, pollution, rainwater and stops erosion, Turf is a superior plant for reducing pollution of surface and ground waters.

  • @Iloveturf What on earth are you talking about? Native plants are fragile? Ok, I see. You just bought some stock in Bermuda Grass or something like that.

  • @dimitrigregorieff Very few natives can survive the urban landscape’s pollution, pruners, mowers, traffic, kids or pets. Natives just do better out in the wild, not in the landscapes. Those that are hardy are often crooked spindly flowerless "Charlie Brown" plants. Yes, that would be classified as "fragile".

    Turf is best

BTW: Please no personal attacks. I know the lefties like to go ad hominem when they loose on the facts, however that will not be allowed here! Next time you will be banned.
