He also told Machida's trainer "he beat my ass" after the decision was announced. It was a lackluster fight at best. The 'Page/Hamill fight was crap too even though 'Page won. 'Page made the excuse for another lackluster performance that his hand was injured. The hype ends with Jones, who will show the world 'Page is one dimensional & done.

Jones is a born fighter, the fact that he was able to beat all those fighters with relative experience proves that. But he too will be defeated sooner or later, someone who matches his explosiveness and athleticism (but with more experience) will come along and beat him. Or maybe even a lesser fighter with a lucky shot..

Well, I don't know about natural born fighter, but he's strong as hell with KO power that's for sure. Let's consider too that he came up at diff time in MMA, when fighters weren't as evolved. It's a different breed of fighter out there today. It takes more than one dimensional brawling to be at the top today. Rampage can't hang anymore unless he's given cans...and even then he might get caught--mark my words. He's already talking shit about Bonnar, which means he's setting up for when he loses.

It's funny that people try to disregard rampage's knockout of silva and they always say "well silva knocked him out twice!" well if anything people never account for that in pride (and earlier ufc's) people fought more than once a night. and also silva had three years of pro fighting experience and two years of experience in pride on rampage. but none of that should matter. also if silva is so badass why did it take so many knees to knockout rampage but only one punch to knockout silva?

@Crapperz silva was coming off too many injuries. silva also could not use attacks like soccer kicks and stomps which he is very good at...the condition of his knees has also made him more one dimensional as he cant through as many kicks or use the thai clinch. silva had also been brutally KO'd by cro cop and dan henderson and had a war with chuck liddell. wanderlei silva is no shape to fight guys at 205 anymore.

wand was a much faster and injury free fighter when he fought jackson in pride. wand's health has deteriorated pretty bad since those years where he has gone through multiple knee surgeries. he was a middleweight fighting at 205

His gameplan would have been the same...Stand and bang until someone goes down just likes its always been and how he fought Rampage the first and second time. Fighters don't make gameplans to take somone down so they can stomp on them, it just happens, just like getting kicked and punched happens. Its just a tool you utilize when the time is right, I have yet to see a fight where the fighters gameplan was to get a takedown get right back up and stomp them.
