Hey I am thinking about trying out for wrestling next year and I have already got the program but it seems like a lot of volume even if it is beneficial will it over train me with wrestling practice? Also do I have to buy the Result and recovery shake drink to see results?
All of the supplemental items are made to help you achieve better results- but are not actually vital to the training. As far as overtraining- I would suggest trying to get the 90 days completed before wrestling season starts and help to make great gains in the off-season. Thanks for watching, and check out the link in the video description for more information.
I wrestle, and I am planning on going on p90x to where it ends about a week before wrestling season. Nutrition is a huge part of getting results, so recovery shakes are important, but you don't need the kind sold by p90x, there are cheaper alternatives.
Thanks for the recommendation! One of my worries is that I'm underweight. I want to gain weight. I'm worried that this program, which is for losing weight, will send me in the wrong direction. However, Im intrigued. Ive never been satisfied for long with the side effects of lifting heavy weights. Also, weightlifting bulks up my legs making it harder to do rubber guard. Can you comment on the value of gaining muscle without gaining bulk? I need bulk in my chest and arms, but not in my legs.
This system doesn't necessarily specialize in "losing weight" but rather in "building muscle" and since muscle burns fat it generally results in people losing weight. If you already have a low body fat % then you're just going to see a bulk in muscle growth. With a protein rich diet, I think you could see great results.
Oh absolutely! This program will increase agility, speed, strength, endurance- there is no downside to increasing your physical conditioning. This program simply relies on a science called "muscle confusion" that prevents plateaus in your progress. 1 hour every day for 90 days. You give this program 90 days, and it will give you a new lifestyle that you will be amazed at. Check out the link in the product description for more information on it.
This workout will vastly increase core strength, muscle endurance, and stamina. It does this without bulking up with larger weights to prevent you from moving in weight class if you don't want to. This is a wonderful addition to any serious competitors game. There are many WELL KNOWN fighters that are huge supporters of the P90X system and have experienced great results. Add in the nutrition guides, and I would definitely urge you to look into it.
Funny you say that. I subscribe to Lober's channel and he just put up a clip of his P90X workout. My problem is stuffing these workouts in with grappling, thai, etc on top of it. I'm 40 and some days I think overtraining is getting to me....
Give yourself 60 days and I think you'll see that you have more energy/stamina/endurance than ever.
Your learning curve will go through the roof when your body isn't tired and fatigued. Muscle fatigue and soreness is a huge contributor to injuries and other problems- so a workout program like this could be the best 3 months that you ever invest in your MMA training.

Could you use this for other things? Like football?
Would it be as beneficial? I have to run routes everyday, muscle with big cornerbacks, and still have enough energy to jump and catch a ball.

I didn't think this kind of workout would go with MMA training. I did B4L about 8 years ago.
