its a magic shield. look for legend of zelda windwaker magic shield on youtube and you'll find out how to find it

yeah i'm on the last part of the game (yeah yeah i know when i was younger i could never figure it out and i didn't have internet) and i still haven't seen any purple diamond

@tails324: I believe that purple diamond is the magic armor, if watched this playthrough it will show you where to find it
