It's obvious that she is extremely good, but I think that it was right that she got second place. The girl who got first was beautiful and the way she danced had a certain polish and expression of emotions that Lada didn't have or portray, though she's getting there. I don't deny for one second that she's very good, extremely good in fact, but the way she was placed was (in my opinion) correct.

@TheAdhesiveLabel My opinion, as a Russian ballet teacher, is - Kitri variation performed on YAGP-Paris by the girl who won first place was performed in a vulgar manner, especially for her age! And the technique - Lada performed original choreography, with double tours in atittude and very difficulte last diagonal. And the first girl??? Nothing near to... For me, ad not only for me - for many peaple Lada was the best. Let's see the finale

lovely!!! I must say I had never saw a child who fit this variation so well. I used to find this character too mature for girls under 15-16 years old but she's only 9 and I found absolutely lovely. Guess the costume helped too, her tutu is isn't black and red like most Kitri's costumes I've seen. Congratulations, you got a star in your hands.... :))

@petrovasuper How did she not win? I mean, I've seen dancers older than her age that dance this variation about half as good as Lada. The judges obviously don't see pure talent. You are amazing teachers and have amazing students.

@petrovasuper , you cannot compare that 11 year old girl to Lada, the age gap is quite large. Lada is fantastic for 9 year-old, I could only do the original Cupid from Don Quixote when I was 9.....
