Okay, let me rephrase this....

What he saw is what he "thought" was a rape scene. It was a murder scene. In the japanese version, it is STATED that Giegue/Giygas/Gyiyg HID himself in the past, so the theory that you fight his unborn fetus isnt true. In an interview with Itoi he says that they never noticed this illusion of a fetus, and they say it is not true that he is a fetus (im 90% sure about this one Still not convinced? watch: "Giygas: The Cosmic Destroyer, The Full Story"

no, after giegue ran away from the battle he had with ninten, he begun his next attempt at destroying the world. im not sure how he did, but he was able to use the devils machine to slowly become more and more powerful. his body became distorted, and thus he turned into giygas. he grew so strong hed be a threat to the entire universe, so before he destroyed the universe, ness & friends gathered the 8 melodies to gain power to defeat him, not knowing it wouldnt work in his current form
