And anyways, Pete Best never had the chance to show off his skills. We will never know how good Pete was in the 60's. Paul and John thought that Ringo was the better drummer that's why he was welcomed into the band. I'll agree that Ringo didn't have the best solo career, but he does deserve lots of credit for being 1 of 4 people who were The Beatles.

I'm not an official expert on anything, let alone the Beatles but, I know what I hear and, being a drummer, I dont hear a very good one in Ringo. Having said that, he can obviously play the drums of course and has to be applauded for that. I think I heard him say in an interview he didn't think he was a great drummer, but that could be put down to modesty perhaps. But, I'm afraid I wont change my opinion. Thanks for your response.

Sometimes going completely out of time, but mostly just sounding hesitant and inconsistent. Almost the antithesis of Ringo's drumming. Although Ringo's was simple at times, it was always confident, solid and precise.

I agree with both parts. All stars, such as Ringo, probably get a shit load of fan mail, and after so many years, I'm sure they all get sick of it. He's entitled to his privacy, he's entitled to not sign autographs or respond to fan mail. However, it was a dick move on his part to make a video about it. There was no need for it. If he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to, but the video advertising it was unnecessary, it just made him look like a giant douche.
