Your videos are inspirational. I've never been a raw vegan 100%, but I've been a vegan with cooked food. At my peak nutritional/physical performance (June 2009) I was eating like 80% raw with cooked oatmeal, lentils, beans, Chai Tea with soymilk, etc... I'm 5'8" and at 173 lbs my blood pressure was 105/60, without dizzy spells. I wonder if becoming 100% LFRV 811 will dip it lower. I'm average low-end in height, don't wanna dip to low. I'm not as athletic anymore. Your thoughts? What is your BP?
@JuliRafMardieta Thank you very much! I'm happy you're inspired. I don't know exactly what my blood pressure is but each time I've gone for a checkup it's always been within range on the low end. As long as I'm eating enough calories and plenty of greens I don't feel any dip in blood pressure. I imagine it would be the same for you as long as you eat enough. I never hear any of my 811 friends having issues with this either so I don't think it would be a problem. :0)
I am just wondering, i find your videos so inspiring. But you talked about the crazyness of going under the knife to remove cancer or something. What would you do if you had to do that? on THIS diet? if you got cancer even eating on this diet? what would you do?
@DarlingKaya That's a really good question. I know I wouldn't do chemo or radiation...that's for certain. I would definitely look into where my thoughts and attention had been, and I would look into other natural and metaphysical modalities of healing. I would definitely be doing a lot of soul searching. :0)
@rawsynergytv - My molecular biology professor, Dr. Rainbow from Antelope Valley College, shared with us an experience with a friend of his. He said his friend had cancer and wanted to live. Dr. Rainbow recommended he go under the knife to remove the growth, but avoid chemo or radiation at all costs and to go on a 100% raw vegan diet. His friend is a cancer survivor.
I have to be on a hcrv diet as prescribed by my doc, my neuro, and several hospital dietician teams. I am SO glad to be raw, but the path to getting here was... Unimaginably painful. But worth it :3
@DDKEproductions Wow, you must have some amazing doctors! So sorry to hear it was painful but really glad you're here and hopefully you're doing much better!
@Sharon27ify Most grains are an insoluble fiber that can scratch & damage the lining of the digestive system. They're also acidic. Grains are used to fatten up cattle. They contribute to weight gain & obesity, fatigue, digestive issues, diabetes, allergies & other life threatening illnesses, many of which are misdiagnosed. Grains contain opiates which make them highly addictive. There are some great books available about this specific subject. Dr. Graham wrote one of them called "Grain Damage."
Great Testimony girl! So happy this is out there. You look amazing. @thatfruitarianchick > Yes I am. I do have some videos under the name Vicky2c. I need to make more videos now since I am 100% on 811 now and doing well. I have a facebook page called ONE FRUIT AT A TIME. I give daily motivational tips on health and fitness. Hope to see you all there!
You look stunningly beautiful and glowing with health and you have a lovely energy. Also you have white teeth! On 80 10 10 my teeth get stained very quickly, they are turning yellow and the enamel seems to have dissolved, also have signs of cavities! I have been on and off raw for yrs ( it has been much easier since discovering 80 10 10) ,I think this is probably part of the problem. I think I'm also probably very low in minerals, started adding in green juices. How do you look after your teeth?
@Tam438 Thank you so much for your kind words! My teeth became very stained when I stopped using toothpowder for six months. I had them cleaned and went back to my favorite Eco-Dent tooth powder and haven't had any issues since. I always floss my teeth at least once a day and brush at least twice a day. I also use the little in between brushes to remove debris between my teeth. Yes, minerals are so important for good dental health. :0)
LOL! I had to go get a big bowl of fruit salad - honeydew, rockmelon, mango and bananas - when I heard you listing all the "boring" food!!! Just subscribed and looking forward to more raw inspiration. Thank you, sweet soul.
I BECAME A VEGETARIAN IN HIGH SCHOOL AND THE FIRST SUMMER OUT OF HIGHSCHOOL I RAN INTO SOMEONE WHO WAS WITH THE NATURAL HYGIENE ASSOC AND WENT TO THEIR CONFERENCE, SO I WAS FULLY AWARE OF THE FULL SPECTRUM OF WHAT A RAW FRESH NATURAL DIET WAS THROUGHOUT MY ADULTHOOD. I CHOSE A LOW HASSLE VEGETARIAN/ VEGAN DIET AND WAS ALSO AWARE OF THE OTHER LIFESTYLE AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES THAT COMPOSE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. BOTTOM LINE, IT'S ABOUT RATIOS, EXCESSES AND RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT.
LOL i don't want to be crazy! 11:53 :) I prefer to be active, have energy, have motivation, wake up happy and have a really great quality of life 12:20 hehe... thank you for this wonderful video! I needed it today*
"you turn sideways & dissappear" - haha you have no idea how many people say that exact phrase to me! I've been mostly low-fat raw vegan for a good six or seven months & still haven't managed to gain weight. I'm around 80 lbs, I eat around 2500-3000+ cals & don't exercise much. How did you gain weight?! I would love to gain around 10 pounds of actual FAT, not just muscle.
@LoVe1036 I slowly put on weight over the course of a year or longer. Absorption is a big issue. It can take a long time for your digestive tract to heal from all the damage from meat, dairy and especially grains. You sound like you're getting plenty of calories but perhaps exercise will make a difference. It can really help in healing, even if you just walk for 20 minutes a day. It helps to get your peristalsis moving to clear stuff out of the gut too. Stay with it....you're doing great!
You look really healthy, and I think you are an very honest person. It is very interesting when you talk about your personal experiences. hank you for making these videos!
Hey, been watching your videos for a while but I don't think I've ever commented. This was AWESOME!
BTW Sorry to hear that people were giving you a hard time about being underweight in the beginning, that sucks. Everyone's un-health manifests in different ways and for some, it's not visible on the outside.
Great video. I'm just looking into a raw diet to help with arthritis. I'm only 40 and don't want to be in daily pain for the next 40 odd years of my life.
@dayaniira Everyone is different. What typically happens is people who need to lose will lose weight and those who are underweight and need to gain will gain. This diet is great at balancing the body out and bringing everyone to their ideal weight. It's also very necessary to get plenty of sleep and exercise. Be sure to let go of fear based thinking. Don't be concerned about gaining weight, just have fun with it. :0)
I was raw vegan for about 3 months, Before that I was skinny and with the raw food diet I lost weigth to fast, I became very skinny, Anyways I felt good, stronger, more concentrated and more energy, but I was really skinny. I was not comfortable being so skinny.
I'm still vegan, but I quit the raw food diet. I gained a little weight and lost that special feeling. My question is, how long did it take you to start gaining weight again? You did something special like stop exercising or eat more?
@AleZolis go on 30bananasaday and sign up. people are very helpful, lots of info of how to stay at a good way and be a raw vegan. just stay away from high fat raw vegan.
@AleZolis The weight came on slowly over the course of a year. The stronger my digestion got, the more fruit I was able to eat. I just kept increasing my calories little by little and as my digestive tract healed, I got healthier. High carb, low fat is the key. It takes a while for the body to repair and heal but if you stick with it, it will happen. Joining 30bananasaday is a great idea from Sunconsciousness. I second that advice. :0)
I would rather be a raw vegan and living a healthy lifestyle now while I am in my 40's and hopefully have a high quality of life in my 70's, 80's, and 90's so that I can live a more energetic life and be able to maybe be independent longer, be able to go for walks and not be on alot of medications then to eat the SAD diet and end up spending my last years in and out of the hospital like my father did. He died at 70 of conjestive heart disease and diabetes. He had a very low quality of life...
Eatjng this way is NOT boring! It is amazing... if anyone has any doubt they have not really invested themselves into the art of raw living food preparation! Check out the recipes on lou corona website... they will change your life in every way for the better! The almond coconut yogurt is heavenly! Heavenly!
What did you mean when you said 'I cant even eat half the things I said just now and its STILL not boring'.....WHY cant you eat some of those fruits and veggies?
Respond to this video... Probably because they aren't available or in season where she lives. Its difficult to get as wide of a variety in the cooler months.
Agreed. We do it for the quality of life and the amazing feelings, and for the animals not so much for how long we live :) I think if drug addicts were to try raw food, they would no longer need or want their drugs, bc they do them to feel good and raw food gives you the most amazing pure life high..... We don't eat for taste anymore, only for what the food can do for us or how good it makes us feel :)
@ZachandBailey1111 So true! I often think the same thing of addicts because I'm addicted to this lifestyle and how good it makes me feel! If only they knew what they were missing.
