awesome powerful sounding kit and great playing - wished I could do that... only the HiHat and the snare I don't like soundwise... and Paistes are not my favourite cymbals...

I went ahead and bought the Bubinga kit today and it should be here next week.....very excited, thanks for the heads up! I've played all types of Birch and Maple sets, but never on a bubinga set, and the price was so close to the maple I figured, what the hell! I'll let you know what I think when it gets here..later

Hey Lars, I'm about to get a Starclassic Maple in the same Antique Natural Burst finish as your Bubinga set.....beautiful! I love it. Here's a question though, I'm getting a 18x22 / 8x10 / 9x12 / 12x14 / 14x16 shell kit... running about $3600 for the Maple. Should I upgrade to Bubinga for a similar price? If anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free to give me your imput...thanks -Jovi

.....I would upgrade for an Starclassic Bubinga in every case if the price is similar! It is the best Drumkit I have every played! I'm sure you can't make something wrong with it!

I would suggest actually playing both kits. Then decide which one you like better. One's not better than the other, it's all a matter of taste.
