I thought it was pretty good. Man look at their defenses, barbed wire thinly spread. What do they expect to stop with that. Also wouldn't those front line troops have some radio communications to warn of the invasion instead of some poor soldier running back to base?
For their situation they needed a militia more than anything. A strong gun culture that encourages men to own a battle rifle and be good with it. Then train on a simple semi basis for when war would come. When it did, the army would do the main brunt of the fighting while the militia would constantly harrass eneny positions and cut supply lines. An attack cant go far without supplies. They prop could have fielded about a million men in addition to the military. That would have done damage

Oh, well, Poland would fall anyway, having been attacked not only by Germans but also the Soviet troops. Forcing entire population to fight would not even work, how can 35 million country, struggling economic problems, withstand an attack from a 70 million Germany with excellent war industry, and military expenses about half of GDP, and Soviet Union with limitless men and materiel. Warsaw Uprising was other thing, the Red Army was at its gates, and it seemed that the Germans were beaten here.

Great video, and thanks. The polish truly were of the greatest fighters in the second world war, and why the rest of the world shuns much of their war effort I don't know. Do you know of any movies made about the invasion of Poland, Hill 262, etc.?

All Poles knows what are the roots of these people. We didn't decide about that, we didn't want Breslau, Stettin or Danzig. We lived in peaceful country and we liked our eastern lands with Wilno, Brześć Litewski and Lwów. And we weren't murdering Germans. We've been sold to Stalin and Red Army and communists came and moved people of ex-your cities by force. Our people if they wanted to live in Poland, not the Soviet Union also had to left their houses and move west. We all know about it...

I thought it was pretty good. Man look at their defenses, barbed wire thinly spread. What do they expect to stop with that. Also wouldn't those front line troops have some radio communications to warn of the invasion instead of some poor soldier running back to base?

For their situation they needed a militia more than anything. A strong gun culture that encourages men to own a battle rifle and be good with it. Then train on a simple semi basis for when war would come. When it did, the army would do the main brunt of the fighting while the militia would constantly harrass eneny positions and cut supply lines. An attack cant go far without supplies. They prop could have fielded about a million men in addition to the military. That would have done damage

And are you implying that Poland's performance would be any worse with an extra million men as rifleman militia? Gee who took part in the Warsaw up-rising, the Polish army or a citizen militia? And they did pretty damn good, just imagine if they were arounf in Sept 39.

Oh, well, Poland would fall anyway, having been attacked not only by Germans but also the Soviet troops. Forcing entire population to fight would not even work, how can 35 million country, struggling economic problems, withstand an attack from a 70 million Germany with excellent war industry, and military expenses about half of GDP, and Soviet Union with limitless men and materiel. Warsaw Uprising was other thing, the Red Army was at its gates, and it seemed that the Germans were beaten here.
