@ daniel69ok: I have a 177RG and my procedure (as per the checklist) is. "throttle open 1/4", fuel pump on, mixture: 3-5 GPH on fuel flow gage, mixture: idle cut off, throttle closed, fuel pump off, start"
If your cardinal has a fuel injected engine, tell me on engine start do you leave the fuel pump on or off. I am just about to get endorsed on a cardinal in a few days .

The correct proceedure for the cardinal is this:
Fuel pump ON
Mixture RICH until rise in fuel pressure (2-5 seconds)
Mixture LEAN
START
As soon as engine starts, Mixture RICH
Fuel pump OFF.

Hey man,
Not my video but, the procedure I use is.
Pump on Mixture Rich
Wait for fuel pressure to indicate a slight rise.
Pump off, Mixture Idle Cut Off.
Then Start, Mixture slowly forward as Engine catchs.
