  • Not many current Musicians have figured out what rock and roll is. It seems like since the 70's have past, musicians just haven't been able to figure out how to rock. They also haven't figured out how to play easy rock like Fleetwood Mac"hypnotized"

  • Love that beat. If that doesn't get you movin, well, why not?! Rockin with Bob and the band. Please put this on my Christmas list. :-D The only thing that would have made this better is it being videotaped. MAN, would that had been a mindblower! Bob and the band have more great music than most bands out there combined! Oh, thanks Jimme for adding Bob's music.

  • never will forget an after-show party at the hotel adjacent to the civic arena. gallons of beer and other stuff, when all of a sudden on the floor below us, some dude threw a chair through his room's window from the inside out, and a naked girl screamed and ran out the door toward the pool area. not sure what the problem was

  • I remember being at the show in Indianapolis when he performed this album... it was the best show I have ever seen, but to see him on the David Letterman show years later and see how time has ravaged his abilities... it made me cry and hurt me deeply... I will always have that moment at the convention center in Indy though and that memory is priceless...

  • Shit, I've known that for 10 years. DETROIT ROCK CITY!!!!

  • some of the 60's and most of the 70's were a haze, but damn i sure remember Bob Seger, hahahahaha. oh yeah... COA ...

  • Download the audio from this tune at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • kid rock and eminem say different

  • @Syzygy60 Different time, different genre

  • detroits best days are behind it ,way ,way behind it . only thing remains is this geriatric burn out .

  • @forestroot why would you come to this site to make such a negative an ignorant comment? Says more about you than this song, album, and GERIATRIC ROCKER!! if i wasn't a womon of worth i would have a couple of f words for ya LOL

  • @kountryrocks Agreed. Live Bullet is the best live rock album hands down. A close second though is Waiting For Columbus by Little Feat. Both captured the raw energy that is the heart of Rock.

  • giggity giggity

  • The Home If Rock & Roll

  • Just for an accurate record: this was recorded at Cobo ARENA (maybe the greatest semi-large venue for a rock concert). Cobo Hall is next door.

  • Hey Detroit!

  • follow seger,he's going somewhere

  • i have nut bush!!!

  • "YOU ARE HERE BECAUSE YOU WANT THE REAL THING.... LET'S BRING OUT BOB SEGER AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND NOW !!!

THIS IS... THE BEST... LIVE ALBUM... EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Young people, turn your friends on to this NOT the stuff of today.

  • @kountryrocks all genre's have merit, personal taste, it is so a waste of time when people bash the site they are on, perhaps it would be best they keep their narrow behinds at another site, hmmm?

  • @kountryrocks THE BEST LIVE ALBUM AS YOU SAY, GREETS FROM GREECE

  • @paokipi Greetings from Iowa. Hope things get straightened out in Greece. Most of all PEACE....

Yes, Bob and the band never received the credit due back in the day. But finally Cleveland allowed he and the band to be placed in the Hall of Fame. They should have been there many years before. Thanks for responding because I have not listened to this for some time but just love it when he talks to us.

  • @kountryrocks hell yeah i'm from iowa too! Bob Seger kicks major ass!

  • @kountryrocks I 1000% Agree with ya bro!! I fuckin LOVE this album. It's up there with the classics man!

  • @kountryrocks YES. I've always felt this is the greatest live album ever released, but I thought I was alone in that opinion. I figured most people preferred Live At Leeds or At Fillmore East than this. But shit, every time I heat Nutbush, every time I hear the brilliant 'Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser' medley, 'Turn The Page' and 'Let It Rock' I just go, screw all other live records.

  • Damned straight nothing but the best in Detroit

  • thanksjimmyj955, finding this is like running into an old friend after 35 years.

  • Seger has always been one of my favorites. Just got that Detroit funk/rock/blues thing. Love this song!

  • Tommy James and Shondells from Niles,Michigan,Great Band

  • Love the intro..

  • from MI niles

  • Again...another one recorded on September 5, 1975...not April 1976.

  • its only 8:31 am but its a party jimmy...thanks

  • I was reading in Rolling Stone that Detroit audiences are the greatest rock and roll audiences in the world.

I thought to myself "Shit, I've know that for 10 years."

ANYBODY THAT HAS ATTENDED A CONCERT IN DETROIT WILL AGREE!!!!

  • @TheNoteCollector: .......and you even got IGGY comin from Ann Arbour...LOL !!!!!

  • I want everybody listening to think about something- Go and watch Tina Turner's version of this song here on youtube- sounds EXACTLY like Seger's version. It's no coincidence that SOMEBODY (maybe even Seger himself) heard Tina's version and said " Hey that sounds just like Seger " and the decision was MADE to do the tune- Of course I'm guessing, but I believe that would be a accurate guess. By the way- I LOVE the way Seger does this tune !

  • @MTRCTY1963 (Yes, to quote Arthur P)

  • Was there!

  • awsome song and even better concert

  • i was 12 and my 2 older sisters took me to this concert.....WOW what a memory !!

  • Wheew! Nutbush City Livin! Go COBO!

  • um..it was released in april 1976 ....but was recorded live at Cob Hall on Sept 4-5 th 1975

  • this music is top shelf this is music when music was music

  • You generation got this :) My generation gets Miley singing Party in the USA :(

Something is very very wrong with todays music.....if you can call it that.

I love hearing someone that can really sing. Totally incredable voice. Love his music

  • Luckily, the people from this generation that still want to hear this great music can always find it on YouTube...

  • @smoker303 Bob Seger does have an amazingly good voice. A little easy to miss on the rocking songs, but you can hear it better on the mellower ones.

  • simply, THE BEST LIVE BAND EVER!!!

  • Me??? I like this better than Tinas'.( Shit, I've known that for ten years !!) @3:05

  • @twostrokeornill1 Absolutely!! I like Tina, don't get me wrong..but Bob Seger and his band ROCK this number!! OH YEAH :)

  • detroit will bounce back...we are survivors!!!!we are fighters!!!!! I love my city and my people....everyone take notes and watch this city reclaim what was theirs from the get go!!!!!!!!!

  • love this song this version is the best

  • Thanks Dude,

I'm 52 now. I listened to this Live Bullet album about every day back in the mid 70's at Indiana University. In 1976, Seger opened up for Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the I.U. Homecoming concert. My three buddies and I were the only four singing and screaming fans in the place for Bob because nobody in that crowd had ever heard of him. When he was finished he said "Thanks to those couple of guys who came here to see me". We did not stay for Frankie.

  • I'm 27 and I did see them live here in the D.C. area as a yougin. I did move on to Industrial music, electronic, grunge, etc. But Live Bullet never left me even if my fellow peers of the MTV gen don't get it. Way back when people were listening to Metallica play 'Turn the Page' like it was something new it was an old hat classic to me. And Seger did it better.

  • " hey detroit" keep voting in liberals and let them run down your city! 20 years from now you won't even recognize the place!

  • You are about 35 years too late on that one.

  • Deeeeetroit Michigan Theeeeeee Hooooommmme Of Rock & Roll

  • a great album, tina turner performs this song

  • @suzanneramdane Tina Turner wrote this song.

  • thanks steve,

  • @suzanneramdane

    I live to serve.

  • "Shit I known that for 10 years."

  • LOLZ!

  • Yeah that's a classic line.He knew where he was at..

  • Best opening song to a rock concert ever!

  • Rockin'!!

  • I'm a David Bowie fan, from way back, but this is a terrific song!! Takes me back! Thank You!!!

  • He does kinda sound a little black, but look where he grew up xP

  • Look where he grew up? Hes from Ann Arbor Michigan!

  • And Ann Arbor is only about 15-30 minutes from Detroit. You can't be literal saying that Ann Arbor, Flint, Pontiac and Toledo aren't all influenced by Detroit by some way

  • Lemme guess your not from around here? Knucklehead original statement and likewise followup!! Too Funny!!

  • I actually am, I'm from Royal Oak... if I went around my city's middle school and polled the non-sports-fans, most of them would probably say Ann Arbor was one of our suburbs.

  • Bob Seger is the freakin' best!!

  • this was the best of bob seger and the band I can listen to it over and over again

  • go wings! and Bob

  • above all, hands down, best rock and roll band ever.
