I can watch for hours continuously if these two play.. So sad the ATP Match was One Sided and finished soon. We all love these two to play at their best.
there always at least one stupid idiot letting out their stupid tense mouths right in the middle of points. i wonder if this bothered the players at all, i mean if it did some one shouldve said something. To STFU until the points over!
had my volume down the first time i watched this and thought the shot between 4.40 and 5.30 were 2 insane shots back to back then when a watched it there andrew castle mentioned it too .. this was some game.
Did Federer just smiled on rafa's championship point at 3:45 ?? amazing..sign of a true champion with nerves of steel. Attention heart patients: 4th set tie break can cause extensive damage to ur heart.
Had it not been for the rain, nadal would of won in str8 set. The rain helped out fed big time. Break nadal's rhydim and swang the momentum back to fed. I hate when it rains in key matches. But in the end nadal prevail and i am glad.
@calugcug21 I disagree nadal should of won in str8 set. The rain delay break his mood. He almost choked the match away, only to recovery in the tb. Nadal should of won in str8. The rain disrupt his ridim big time. That's why i don't like when it rains. I am glad they got roof on center court.
Nadal's passing shot was on his forehand down the line; Fed's passing shot was hit from his backhand into the corner. i think we can tell the better of the two here :) epic tie-breaker though and Nadal somehow pulled it off. great players! legends!
I think that first point right there is the perfect microcosm of the entire match, and the reason why was undoubetedly the greatest tennis match in grand slam history.
this is the best match for Nadal but not for Roger, he did too much mistakes in the first two sets, if Roger play at his best the whole match Rafa cant beat him on quick surfaces, yesterday he proved that, Rafa only won because Roger give him the first two sets
The two points from 7 all are often talked about with superlatives, but rarely are they truly and completely appreciated for their brilliance. There's all the obvious factors, but just within the points, forsaking all situational factors, they're unbelievable still because both players who got passed did EXACTLY the right thing. Fed went to Rafa's backhand to open up the forehand, and hit a big approach shot. Rafa went high and wide to Roger's backhand. Both just hit ridiculously perfect passes.
@RFederer101 it would have been because of the double fault the point before, very rarely makes an error like that on big points which imo caused the reaction you saw.
Yeah it's the closest I've ever seen Rafa to throwing his racquet. On NBC's American commentary John McEnroe actually picked up on that right away, so I can't take credit for seeing it myself :-P
pff I was so scared rafa would just sink in after losing this set. But he proved there how strong he is mentally too. What an amazing match that was

Whenever rain interupt Rogers matches his momentum goes away like at the French open 2010 quarter final loss
He had the chance in 2nd and 5th set but he couldn't won those important points
He played great match
I really hope federer can win all 4 slams this year
Hopefully after 1968 it would be Rogers chance to do it and to make it 20 slams this year

everyone knows that famous backhand pass that federer hit but ironically, it was his famous forehand that came up with HUGE shots in the tie-break

dwilliams02 1 year ago
@dwilliams02
yeah each of their respective shots were low percentage. meaning, 8/10, Rafa would have hit his fh pass into the net or for an easy Federer volley.
Same with Fed, 8/10, that bh he hit (on the rise, btw), would have shanked.
If given the same opportunity, neither would change their decision based on the laws of probability
