My uncle is retired from what was once Rockwell N/A. He worked the line for 40 years. These jets were treated like a bastard step-child from day one. They are very costly to operate just like the SR-71. But when they are operating, they get the job done with as much class as any other aircraft.
B1-B=Hangar Queen. Sorry, as an air traffic controller for 12 years, this aircraft was THE most mission INcapable aircraft I have ever seen. You could run ACORN for at least 50 years for the price of one of these. (that's a joke, BTW)

they are both very different
the B-52 has a much bigger payload but the B-1 is much faster and can get there and back faster
