I never watched it when it was on T.V. but 4oD got me watching, and now there are so many more fans of the show, even though it's not on air! Please channel 4... you didn't re-commission it because of Big Brother?! Who's idiotic idea was that?

I feel ashamed that I for a time watched Big Brother, now that I realise it replaced superb quality T.V like Sugar Rush... the acting, the script.. one word: Incredible.

Definitely! I've just watched both seasons on 4od, because I missed it on TV the first time around. It was such a touching story, not sordid or distasteful. I would love it if they made another series. But I suppose the story of the two girls had kind of run it's course.

It was a TV programme that ran for two years in 2005 and 2006. It was based on a book by Julie Burchill called "Sugar Rush" and its about a young lesbian called Kim and her crush on her straight friend Maria "Sugar" Sweet. The TV series is however very different from the book. Sadly, the third series of "Sugar Rush" was cancelled in 2007 despite winning several awards. Hope this helps!!
