  • This is music.

The lyrics touch those who can relate to them.

Me, I'm really enjoying the guitar playing and good singing.

    God bless Mark Knopfler.

  • I'm already LVL 54, and have around 75 million coins. I've truly just been trying to play for two weeks. Those that wish to know how I got that far look at beatcafeworldXcom (replace X with . )

  • the power and feeling of this song gives me chills!, not to mention the les paul :)

  • If you were ever a combat soldier you probably get it. Otherwise you might not really understand. You did not desert me, my brothers in arms.

  • @davonthelake That's arrogant! I never been a soldier combat or otherwise, but I and probably most other people get it. Interesting to know what facts or research you base your comment on, or is it an assumption?

  • @oldfart4751 Notice I said "might not get it" I did not say wouldn't get it. It would have been arrogant of me to say didn't but that is not what I said.

  • @oldfart4751 And this is a great piece of music, great lyrics and outstanding rhythm. This song is a case of where what they left out was as important as what was left in to use a phrase from Eddie and the Crusiers. The solo is well thought out and not a case of musical masturbation so to say.

  • @davonthelake Perfectly put - "musical masturbation", that describes so many of them "greats" out there, and can never be used in the same sentence with this man, I hope you dont mind if I'll be using it from now on (you'll get the credit, of course, each time)

  • ex mr scooter mark

  • Actually they called themselves "café racers." But i got your point! :)

  • The title of the movie says "Brothers in arms - Mark Knopfler (live rare) world cafe.

I would not define that as rare. If you can find a recording of Dire Straits back when they went under the name "Cafè Rockets", then we can talk :P

  • happy now?? lol

  • hehehe... Have you seen him live? Its freakin awsome.. Hope to see him again in Oslo or Bergen..

  • @emognr87 wasn't it the Café Racers?

  • I never heard this version before. When was it recorded???

Dire Straits was once called "Cafe Racers"?!?!?! I didn't know that.

Cafe racers sounds kind of mixed between cool and stupid imo. But who cares, the make awsome music. I love almost all of their songs!!

  • Yeah, I know.. I misswrote... hehe..

I accturally got an A on an essay on Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits when I was in college, so I should remember :P

  • Pfff, when i tried to convince my teacher Dire Straits existed, she kicked me out of her office...

The principal was verry dissapointed to know his music and drama teacher didn't know what real music was :P

  • ROFLMAO...

Its like a denze lady at my work. She thought that Mark was really Bruce Springsteen.. I mean, how dence can one be!

  • cafe racers where not the dire straits it was a school band where mark was playing in but cafe racer where not john david and pick whiters that was later

  • @blackfang82 .....uhhh hey blackfag it's still a great tune. *lol*

  • Dunno, this some rare recording or something?

  • its live men

  • The special about it is that its Knofler, go and see some good music.

  • Everything is special about a Mark Knopfler song!!! The man is a frikin genious!!!!
