undoubtedly fullback is the hardest position to play. you have to be good at everything, no-one can help you tackle the man, and they build loads of momentum running towards you, making the tackle harder. i play fullback at school u14s

are you joking...a dump or spear tackle is a completely useless type of tackle, as you cant then recover the ball, also note how late the tackle was, he had passed the ball and then the tackle came about 2 second later...this is a joke.

lol your comment reminds me of something which happened in a game i played in last week. my mate got dump tackled, then all their players started cheering and patting him on the back. meanwhile, i rucked over, we went blind quickly and they were too busy praising the tackler and not concentrating that we scored a try straight from it. though they werent a very good team, but still

Hey Crazy, firstly it wasnt a spear tackle as the body has to go over horizontal for it to be classed as that and you will not that the tackled lad landed on his back and secondly it was not 2 seconds late, is head was down and engaging the attacker and he could not have seen the lad passing being ofloaded. it was a split second difference mate

yeh crazygranny, but what it does is let that player know that if he is going to try that again he is going to feel a world of pain, thats the best thing about marginally late tackles, you fuck with the passers mind.

Im a lock and I never need to tackle like that ( man on man, open space).

If you commit yourself to make a big tackle, you will probably miss the player coming towards you because its easy to run past a player whos standing still. What I do in a situation like that is I grab the guys jersey and drag into the ground. Very effective.

hes a pretty good fullback, i play fullback for my school n sometimes its hard to make those last man back tackles but u seem to have it dialed, good stuff man.
