How to Get Free Wifi Tether on Rooted T-Mobile Galaxy S2!

I have rooted my phone with your video and have tried to freeze the tether manager but it says "Sorry, apps can be frozen/defrosted in the Donate version only." I also noticed it is highlighted in red like other apps that came with the phone. What gives?

@TeeRod214 Sprint Galaxy is a bit different, i have a video on that, no it won't cancel your warranty unless you decide to run your whole home internet off it.

well doesn't t-mobile just monitor your general usage vs. your tethering usage. meaning that even if you freeze tether manager, you'll still be charged for tethering because t-mobile just throttles you once you've gone over your limit...

Thanks for the info. The only thing you didn't mention, that people should know, is that rooting your phone automatically cancels the warranty on your device.

I did everything here and connected for a few days now and just received a text saying starting today they are slowing down my data speed cause I went over my limit! I thought they wouldn't be able to detect it?

@jrsfalcons T-Mobile does that even if you don't tether, if you use data often they will throttle you.

That's what I am talking about! I can't believe those carriers are charging us yet again for something we already paid for - the usage of our own data plan! How can you charge someone without actually providing any kind of product or service in addition to what was already bought. This is just plain greed and my only wish that consumers would never pay for something like this, but it really shocks me to see that many folks do just the opposite and just hand them their wallets. How can this be???

@lanracer916 Disconnect your wifi and connect several times and also stop and restart the wifi tether app several times like i did in the video, eventually u will CONNECT! (and subscribe to my videos and tell all your friends)

Hi I just rooted my gs2 with your method but tether isnt working. It said the su is outdated. Would I have to download another kernal of yours fir tethering to work?

@ManAW1VI which gs2 tmobile? The tmobile rooting method doesn't touch your kernel so I am assuming you have international version?

@enosh91 not sure, Motorola devices have different wifi locking mechanism for each phone, its a big headache for developers.
