While I’m here and write these lines with an ink stained with tears my thoughts are in the place that I call my homeland, VIETNAM, the land of BEAUTY, our land.
I don’t know much about life but I know I’m VIETNAMESE. That’s how I feel and that won’t change. Even if I don’t have much to show, this is my pride.

I KNOW that what you guys and girls are doing with VSA is of such importance and necessity it is also a very beautiful thing. It is such a great step in starting our own history here for our family and to show the world out potential.,, I want to thank you for caring for my little brother and my little sister,, I want to thank you for caring for my grandma and grandpa, I want to thank you for caring for my son and daugther...
We are such a young race here with a very shaky history..I think that some of our parents now have a struggle with english as some of us do with Vietnamese and because of that our parents are not able to do for us as they wish they could. But now i see a new generation of Vietnamese people where all the children now can speak english and can survive in the states
Now i have grown a little older and become a littler smarter I have started to have develop more pride in being Vietnamese and I have started to identify with being Vietnamese and I have never been more confident with myself..
Hey I am Vietnamese and I was born in San Jose, CA. Growing up where I did I never got any information on my culture or history and I think I grew up really not understanding who I am...IT WAS THE HARDEST THING FOR ME EVER...i wanted to be black i wanted to be mexican i wanted to be white, i never wanted to identify with my real self.
