  • We are such a young race here with a very shaky history..I think that some of our parents now have a struggle with english as some of us do with Vietnamese and because of that our parents are not able to do for us as they wish they could. But now i see a new generation of Vietnamese people where all the children now can speak english and can survive in the states

Growing up where I did I never got any information on my culture or history and I think I grew up really not understanding who I am...IT WAS THE HARDEST THING FOR ME EVER...i wanted to be black i wanted to be mexican i wanted to be white, i never wanted to identify with my real self.
