  • sorry, I just started studying rythm changes.. is the bridge the chord progression I I7 IV IV#° I/V V7 ? (or of course with different substitution , but based on the change between I and IV like a blues)

  • @machinegunlicks The bridge goes up in 4ths. With trumpet it starts on E7 then A7 then D7 then G7. hope this helps.

  • Aspiring jazz trumpeter, love your licks! I've slowly but sure been adding ones to my arsenal... This one is especially good :) Thanks so much for this!!!

  • what tune is that?

and is it on a aebersold??

  • @davidizzle Oh man, I can't remember the name of the tune. It's from one of the Miles Davis Aebersolds. Sorry about that, it's just basic rhythm chord changes you hear in a lot of standards.

  • @signupandmakemoney

thanks for the reply, im pretty sure this tune is called the midgets, I think I heard it on a stitt record a while back.

  • @signupandmakemoney "The Theme" a.k.a "52nd Street Theme". Every bopper in the world ended their set with a variation of it, up through the early 1980s . . . .

  • @signupandmakemoney its "tune up"

  • @buclaudoyo sorry "the theme" i get them mixed up

  • @davidizzle I believe that tune is called The Theme.

  • Great trumpet playing!

  • Man I love your playing style! Do you practice a lot of scales?

  • @DeluxeHobo Thanks. I do practice scales, but not too much, I like patterns better.

  • Another great lick for the bag. Thanks for the upload man!
