  • @monnoracing so many things. first D transmissions suck. gearing is not made to stay in Vtec powerband. second why not do a full h swap? mounting a shifterbox and cables really isnt that hard at all. but hey if it works for you and makes you happy so be it. who am i to say.

  • @Brendon00000 thank you man. the d16 is a very capable engine at a fraction of the cost of the B. my whole goal with this was to build a d faster than a gsr swap for less money. mission was accoplished. alot more pride comes along with building.

  • @freon480 I bought myself a crx originally for a k swap, but as I held onto it I realized I already have the best non vtec d16 made so thought about all motor options and its nice but just not my style, I like turbo more just because thats what d series are famous for. Funny thing is yeah you can build a d series for the price of the camshafts on a k20 lol. if you have time look up danzielstra on youtube, he's from my area, has 3 10 second d16's

  • @800whpcivic 151whp was the first baseline i got. this was self tuned on the street. dyno shop says there is more up higher because im runnin lean above 7k but i dont have the to get it tuned to be honest.

  • thats not what a stage 3 bisi cam sounds like at idle. It's lopey. And that's not a 2 step, it's a rev limit.

  • a 2 step is for turbo cars to get the spool up at launch, your pos d16a6 doesn't have enough power to spin the wheels, you don't need a launch on that econo box. and ok so u made a thread, i still don't believe it is cammed. obviously your timing is not "dead on" as u stated before, or it would be lopey. u advanced your timing supposedly. It's your car so if a d16a6 N/A satisfies you then more power to you. and no mine is tuned on an aem ems thanks and u wish u had a b20vtec

  • @civicman62 lmao. i feel bad you dont know how to read or know anything about building an engine. no where do i say timing is advanced. in fact the timing is retarded 4.5 mechanically to keep out detonation on pump gas. 2 step is not only for turbo. look up videos of drag racing retard. where u set the IDLE is how u get rid of the lope. do some research youngin. ur age shows with your uneducated points. i feel bad for you. check out d-series. org you can learn alot from real engine builders

You clearly said your timing was dead on, and now you say you have it retarded. make up your mind. a d16 with a cam is hardly a "built" engine. And you don't need a 2 step on your car because i guarantee your not getting any more than 150hp to the wheels.There is a big difference between a drag car and a yellow crx with a d16 N/A in it.

  • that was definately not a 2 step, way to slow. it is the factory rev limiter honda put on there that engages at 5000 rpm so idiots won't rev it that high and throw it in gear. LOL a real air/fuel sensor.( I hope u didn't get it at autozone) what software did you use to tune it? also, i have a bisi stage 2 cam in my ek and its more lopey at idle than your so called stage 3. i call bs on this entire set up

  • Did you tune this via Crome? What are your fuel and timing settings in the first few cells?

    The reason that I ask is because it seems to have a slight hesitation off idle, which this cam should not have. The stock exhaust with such a large cam is also restricting performance. The exhaust pulses associated with the level 3 cam through a stock exhaust can limit how much timing you can run because the exhaust gases can not escape fast enough. In for results when you dyno

  • Sounds like you found the neutral rev limiter. Also sounds like the initial timing may be off just a bit for the Level 3 cam. Other than that sounds good. Glad to see more d series running bisimoto products. Tuned it yet? or had it on the dyno?

  • @Sgtpeppr65 nuetral rev limiter? wtf? 2step launch control is set at 5000. timing is dead on. any more advanced and i get pinging. sound quality in this vid is not the best. but it sounds like its being held back cause this vid was taken with the stock exhaust on the car and vid was taken with my cell phone. car was street tuned by me with a real air-fuel ratio sensor and innovative lc1. have not had it to dyno yet. hopefully this week or so. thank you for the input!
