When I first got my last cat Sparky, he started sleeping on the bed & if I farted he used to jump cos' they were soo loud !! What really made me laugh till I cried was when he 'stopped' reacting to them..after a few months...so I used to try to fart..catch him by surprise..yet nothing..not even the slightest flinch..he'd gotten soo accustomed to my farting in bed !!! Used to make me howl with laughter !! He was an awesome cat, I really loved him..Peace Rx

Cairn Terrier, exactly right, our Beagle wasn't diagnosed with hypothyroidism until it was too late. She didn't over eat but still gained weight, by the time the vets did the right tests, it was too late to save her. Her heart gave out because of the stress from her weight and also they only just picked up after 7 years that she had a very bad heart murmur. Suffice to say, when/if we do get another dog, it will be going to a different vets.
