  • Aanyone who says they shouldn't dance are completely wrong, being interactive and physical with your music is a fantastic way to do things, and make things modern.

  • Great juxtaposition of the ancient and the modern. I don't understand all the trolling about the dancing. It's performance art. Excellent.

  • I enjoyed ALL the performance... THUMBS UP!!!

  • Forget the movements. Just play the recorders.

  • Oh my God thats awesome und funny :)

  • It creeps me out sending it to rwj XD

  • I like turtles.

  • なんだこれw

  • They're like the "Blue Man Group" of recorder consorts lol

  • it like tribal's dance

  • STUPENDO

  • Bitchin'

  • great, nice, perfect, lovely - couldn´t be better! Congratulations from Gerald Schwertberger, Vienna

  • c'è paura!

  • love you girls!

  • @ledormant hahaha! Go for the exceptional case, why don't you. I suppose if I were to be a smart ass I'd say that the effect that the dancing is having on the musicians themselves in being expressive might be enough to be heard by the blind. But otherwise... I guess you've got me there >:)

  • Their doing a spell or a ritual

  • Wow... xD

  • i want me cock in all of there mouths right now!

  • lol they are the envy of 3rd graders everywhere

  • Did anyone else jump at the beginning?

  • Ok these people are my new best friends.

  • Yeah...

  • witches!!!

  • That is so good .

  • what the fuck

  • Incredible, I very rarely post, but that was just incredible!

  • this is ridiculous. But entertaining.

  • Hahahahahah this is the demonstration that the recorder is such a stupid and useless instrument that you need to do all that idiot movements and faces to try to make it interesting (and anyway they failed!!!!)

  • This is so terrible.

  • The music is enough, they don't need to move around or dance while playing !!

  • @ledormant I disagree, I think it makes clearer their musical intentions. That's my two cents.

  • @rkamradt1 What about blind music lovers?

  • @ledormant i think their little shtick of dancing while they're playing is pretty cute...even if they aren't all cute

  • @nickr753 Their dancing and moving doesn’t bring anything to the show.

  • @ledormant Actually, you are incorrect. There is a distinct difference between music alone and music accompanied with a visual, and today's youth are increasingly only consuming music that is accompanied with a visual. They see movies or watch music videos or see ridiculously over-produced live shows, and THEN buy the album. This music is actually good, and the group has decided to produce a visual so the music can appeal to a wider audience. Not a bad idea, considering it's a recorder quartet.

  • @nickr753 First off, do know that I am never incorrect. Second off, these ugly girls who are badly dressed and ridiculously move around should only play music. They are good musicians and it’s largely sufficient. If you think that the fact they move like flee-infested bears is appealing, you should telephone James Levine and ask him to dance the next time he conducts an opera.

  • @ledormant Okay, sounds good.

    (You spelled 'flea' incorrectly.)

  • @nickr753 I mis-spelt flea but I speak ten languages. Ok, you have noticed my mistake but you haven’t discussed my post. You danced instead of singing !

  • @ledormant Your last post was largely ad hominem, so I decided not to justify it with a serious response.

(I only speak six languages, but I can say 'hello' in at least seven more.)

  • @nickr753 You could have answered my post either with humour or with a serious response. Our debate is interesting.

  • @ledormant Agreed. It's probably because this is more a study in internet trolling than it is a debate. In light of that, the only way I can possibly imagine bringing cadence to this discussion is by saying "I'd totally do the cute one."

    Cheers.

  • Everybody who liked, disliked or don't give a damn about this clip, SEE THE FOLLOW UP here: youtube.com/watch?v=zpljVB0_PmI

NOW we're talking recorder skill :P

  • We get TTBB, SSAB (or is it SSTB or SATB?), BBBB, BBGC, and AAAA voicing in one big medley! It's always fun to see how different register voicings give a different character to the music.

  • lol!

  • My new ringtone is 0:05 - 0:35

  • You guys shred. I loved this recording, esp. 11/8 modern insanity. Also great Telemann Quartet 4tet in D (Allegro) - burning! I also love your movement - makes me think of Orff method for big kids... :) And is that a contra-bass recorder??!

  • Very good.

  • THIS IS ABOUT THE SICKEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. HOW DISGUSTING.

  • @goodguysdoll disgustingly good?

  • @goodguysdoll what on earth are you talking about? They lift the music off the page, for starters, memorize it and internalize it so they can perform it so well. That first piece was incredibly difficult. If they were reading, it wouldn't have the same great feel to it.

  • err... I'm not sure what to think...

  • Embarrassing and super random but they're quite good

  • @gootmusic heheheheheehe

  • is fun = = but she is ugly

  • Great playing, imaginative movement. It's about time the recorder is being brought into modern times.

  • Just, Wow!

  • That was excellent. But I would have preferred less... er... movment.

  • now THATS playing the recorder with style :)

  • This is an ultimate success in art, presentation and sound, talent, skill, and unique expression. Thank you...I don't know when I've enjoyed any program more than this one. Fantastic ladies, superb!

  • i have never seen anything like this in my entire life.. i dont know if i like it or absolutely hate it...

  • To vole to je psycho

  • Very entertaining. 5 stars.

  • o.O

  • Playback, sure. I wanna see someone dance and play at same time with that perfection...

  • I don' know about this recording, but I saw them live just a week ago, and they surely did dance and play this good at the same time. HA

  • Too freaky weird! But I liked the renaissance piece.

  • why not? it is fun!

  • What was the Telemann one from? Does anyone know what the song is called?

  • @ivoryoboe I think that is a Concerto for 4 Violins in D, I don't know what movement

  • @jarabass Movement 2 (allegro)

    1-Adagio

    2-Allegro

    3-Grave

    4-Allegro

  • I love the marketing technique. And they are skilled and musical. Finally someone has admitted that music IS made through the body. It is one and the same.

  • GReat Wonderful Amazing

  • There is something extremely disturbing about this video.

  • how can you have such a week opinion about art, thats how everything starts until it becomes a tradition, you have to learn to be creative too, show us what you can do, I bet the only good thing you can do is to give a negative criticism, nobody will remember you for that

  • you can make cool celtic music with recorder :) the tone of it gives it something straight from ancient times, but i agree that this modern stuff is kinda weird, and so are theyre moves.

  • Great Resonance and Dancing!

  • you are all sexy and play early music fantastic but what is all this modern hyper shit about???

  • VERY NICE JOB ..i LOVE

  • Very nice job! I love the modern stuff!

  • great playing but why, the hell, are they dancing???

  • This is really good =D

But the movements aren't needed =(

  • There's nothing wrong with the dancing...

  • No, there's nothing wrong with it.

But I can't get those out of my mind.

It keeps repeating in my mind! XD

  • @narutorocks33 I think the point was to put a fresh new twist on old pieces, which they did wonderfully with.

  • @catzzzvb BUT NOBODY KNOWS THESE ARE OLD PIECES. NO NEED FOR FRESH TWIST ON ANYTHING. THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO THE COMPOSERS.

  • @goodguysdoll Ya, those dead guys sure care a lot. Actually sir, these wonderful musicians are keeping it fresh... not DEAD like those guys in pine boxes...

  • @goodguysdoll If you don't know Telemann is an older composer, then the entire argument is pointless.

Besides, it's so nice to see a group of people really having fun with music! You can't help but appreciate that.

  • damn, sucks. how about some JS BACH

  • I really enjoyed the last music. I heard a lot. Great.

  • I love you.

  • Ahahah they really are incredible! They sound crazy at first but its very cool the modern way they play. The part I like the most is the last, the Telemann one! =D

  • i love this videoo

  • i bet these sleazy beazies like to bump beavers

ILL BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!

  • La prossima volta prima di suonare mi farò una canna, vediamo se riesco anch'io a suonare e ballare contemporaneamente.

  • I´d like to see you playin´better you redneck

  • Excelente. Ojalá puedan venir a México,

    Great!.

  • Anyone know what the Telemann piece is ("Allegro")? It sounds like a canon.

  • It's an arrangement of part of the sonata in D Major for four violins transposed to F Major for four alto recorders.

  • Beautiful;)

  • Truly impressive! Magnificent technique and temperament...

  • Excellent ensemble

  • Wonderful ! 5 stars ;-)

  • Excellent video. Much better than just seeing them sit and play.

  • great... amazing all round....

  • Hi guys.. The"Terminator Walk" at 0.40 is awesome!

  • Applaus... More .

  • This just made me laugh, i do not know if you have done the recorder community any favours here though! :-)

  • iai smather diai, kong fy pandaen, den.. owe speezer lort. um, det smaer got.

  • My God, my God.. Why hast thou forsaken me?

  • That Was Pretty Cool:-)

  • For an age that can't hear but gets all it's information through the TV,this is a logical approach.A video and arrangement designed to keep our minds off the music(which is worthy of attention),and our own inability to hear it.I predict that they'll go far this way...I.E.They'll make a living! The piece at 3:00 has great mood.

  • Great!

  • What the fuck were you smoking?

  • poor bach :)

  • Cool!
