@braymckoy im sure hes done quite a bit of tuning too, the red line only applies to stock and even then you can go over it a bit before hitting limiter or anything. And even if you hit the rev limiter its not a big deal cause that's what its purpose is.... to protect the engine. So technically you could go all the way to the rev limiter every shift, not great on the engine but not the end of the world....

You might want to ask your dealership if you need a tune for the blow-off valve. And if you have an auto, forget everything i just said lol, not worth it..

It will be a good car, and definitely faster than your average Honda or Toyota. I do not recall if they make a normal Impreza turbocharged. I would be wary of who you buy it from though. You wouldn't want to buy from some teenager that's beat the engine to hell.

Also, keep in mind that while Subarus rarely break down, when/if they do, they aren't cheap to repair. A simply timing belt can be up to $500 to replace, where as a Civic or Corolla is cheap to repair. A Civic or Corolla is a great

i picked up my 08 subaru wrx for 18k, ive drop 1500 on it so far for the exhaust and awd dyno, i can drop another 3500 for a turbo kit, and another 12-1500 for a suspension kit to support the power. so lets say 5k, and installed and tuned at ... top speed, i get a military discount =P, i will beat that m5 in speed, sure your top end may be higher, but enjoy that 17mpg on highway / 11 on city, so lets see, the 2011 m5 MSRP 85.7k Noice...i could win 20 mil tommorrow, and i would still drive my wrx
