@likeohyourcute Hi, french braids look beautiful on thick hair. If you have all one length, you should have not problem with your curls. If they are layered they may pop out a bit, but you can mitigate this as much as possible by using smaller pieces when you do the braid. You can do whatever you want with your bangs; straighten them a bit or leave them curly, it's up to you.

@Blueoreos112 Hi, you just need to be sure you continuously smooth your pieces. It just takes a bit of practice, but you will get it. It helps if you try to go slow and repeat to yourself as you do it what your hands are supposed to do.

I do SCA Armor Fighting (sca.org) and was trying to find something that me and my friend could do, other than a regular braid or pony tail (don't hold up and stick out too much), with our hair so that it wouldn't get in our eyes while we had our helms on. Hi, it's probably because you are taking longer because you are learning. Once you know how to do it, you will do it quicker and your hands won't so quickly.
