NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!! i am a HUGE fan of the police AND ziggy! this is 100 percent PRERECORDED!!!! its on a cd called REGGATTA MONDATTA which is all covers of police songs by reggae musicians.... sting just made a vocal appearance on two songs... this being one of them. THATS WHY THE SONG FADES OUT AT THE END.... IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY LIVE. i cant believe they would do that. WHY WHY WHY? im shocked and disapointed.
This performance happened when Ziggy Marley was on his way up, and Sting was firmly establishing himself in his pop-jazz solo career. Kewl song (and hair) by Sting, and a great rendition.
Are you stupid? All the appearence in Montreux POP festival was lip -synching during the 80's

Ziggy left the stage abruptly because he dosen't like to lip synk. I'm sure he wanted to do the song live.

Definitely not live and prerecorded. Nothing can top the original version by The Police, not even Sting and his entourage of 25 jazz musicians...

A good performance but I'm wondering why Ziggy abruptly left like that.

I doubt they mimed it. Sting looks a bit off the mark, though. Still, mime seems none productive, considering the production behind it.
