It's horrible to cook them alive like that! The correct way to do it is kill it, shuck it, clean & gut, THEN cook! Eww, these still have the guts in. Sea snail or not, I would not eat anything that had been cooked with the guts still inside. You've also spoiled any potential pearls in the gut. You should always gut them fresh because there is a chance to find some pretty nice pearls inside the gut!

I think electrocuting may be the fastes and more painless death because the electricity shocks them dead in the matter of seconds and shock freezing also works in seconds if done with liquid nitrogen

Of course they don't have emotional feelings..but human ethics should prevent killing a "lesser" creature slowly.
