@Steface52 because he was schooled by Aristotle! and it's shown in the movie! Plato was years dead before Alexander's birth! I'm greek i'm a history major and i know for a fact he was educated by Aristotle! :)

Alexander is a visually stunning movie, just the detail to everything is just great and for the most part very accurate.
