@WilbGr8 while she has a great voice for her age, she has lost an enormous amount of her range, it would be silly to state that she didnt lose anything. In her hey day her chest voice could reach a D6, nowadays she belts less than half of that and relies on falsetto due to her chest voice losing much of its range, its just her age

I just saw Aretha Franklin sing "Precious Lord" in front of the President and the Vice President just now at the MLK Memorial - she kissed Obama and Michele but she didn't even acknowledge Vice President Biden and his wife. She didn't even look at them. Did anyone else notice this? I am sure it will get some criticism and despite it being the MLK dedication, you don't just snub the Vice President, even if you are the Queen of Soul!!
