@ThaBR33D You would notice the weight difference, I mean, it is only a 1.6-liter with 120~ horsepower. The most noticable change would be in acceleration, it isn't that drastic in normal driving, but if you tried to do a full-on 0-60 sprint you would feel it mos then.
I took a road trip with max capacity of adults and the back packed to the max with stuff and it was no issue, even in the mountain pass out of San Diego County into El Centro valley.
And for all those sports car fans out there, there's nothing better than a manual gearbox, it's much more fun than an auto, or a sequential gearbox, and if tou want to drive really fast and do some drifting it requires some skill, auto and sequential is way to easy.
I was able to drive a manual when I was 12 years old, it took me a couple of tries to be able to start without stalling but all you need to know is the "friction point" of a car, you put the car in first with your foot on the clutch of course, and you slowly release the clutch till the car starts to move, then all you have to do is accelerate, it becomes a reflex after a while, it's really simple when you think about it...
The only thing worse than guy who has no idea how to drive manual are those bozos who THINK they know how to drive manual but really haven't a clue.
You short shifters out there know who you are. Hello, Neutral IS NOT A GEAR...you don't stop in neutral, you go through it. You are not driving a '32 Ford with a crash box!

dsvd79 1 year ago So you mean to tell me at a red light you stay with your foot on the clutch holding 1st gear instead of using neutral??Your left foot must be double the size of your right.
driving manual should be mandatory, it would take so many bad drivers off of the road, also you never know when you come accross a really hot girl who is drunk to drive and want you to drive her home on her manual transmission car lol
Some people were excited to be a part of the movement that just couldn't drive a stick. I know what you mean, but at the same time, you can't fault people for not knowing how to drive a stick...ya know? :)

@thewhoissuperb24 They arrive in dealers in about 2 weeks! soon enough, even you will be popular enough! (lol, just kidding).
Just visit your local Ford dealer and ask them to call you when they get one in.

SOLID point. I in fact did get to give a hot girl a ride home for that exact reason. Manuals FTW!

Makes me /frown that people knew they were going to be manuals, and still had the OMG FREE CAR mentality... How am I not surprised?

Driving a manual should be something everyone should know. You don't really "drive" a car until you know how to drive a manual.

Well then we should all be happy he is learning, right? Heck, we can thank THE FIESTA MOVEMENT for teaching more Americans to drive manuals! WOOHOO

This is indeed on the paddock at Willow Springs. Pretty cool track. There were street bikes tracking it in the background all day.

Actually, that is the "paddock" area of the Horse Thief Mile track at Willow Springs
