  • Yeah, look at that babe on the piano! I think some of the most nostalgic and romantic songs came out of that duress of the era between the depression and WW2.

  • wow did you see that beautiful blonde sitting on the piano my god what curves!

  • Just saw beginners, but I've always loved this song :]. Great movie by the way.

  • El era el original y genuino , el que compuso Stardust cantando su propia cancion, mejor que nadie. El fue el autor tambien de Georgia on My Mind», Up the Lazy River, Rockin' Chair, The Nearness of You, Heart and Soul. El unico y gran Hoagy Carmichael, tan actual como en los años 20

  • Im only 13, and I found this by hearing about it in a book called Skarrs we're reading in school. Just an amazing song.

  • I love hoagy! Makes me proud to be a hoosier! I find it ironi that the more the technology gets better, the music gets worse.

  • what talent we used to have i miss it alot

  • God I love this so much.

  • What a Talent,,, Again,,,, Some of God's,,, handiest work,,,, thank you for posting this, and a big "Malhalo" for sharing this with all of us,,,,

  • My name is Peter, I´m old...

  • これはこれでかっこいい。ナットキングコールがでもベストかな。

  • george harrison's formula 1 interview brought me here

  • I love this man, he was a true genius:)

  • Yeah, Beginners led me to the original version. I've always listened to Nat King Cole's rendition. But please, can we shut up with the 'brought me/led me here' rubbish.

  • this is wonderful.

  • to me this is the best song ever made for a human

  • @MrPianoguitar

    Agree 100%!

  • personally I like this more that Sinatra's version

  • does anyone have the sheet music to this?

  • This song reminds me of a girl who disappeared on me before we became friends. I adored her and let her slip through my fingers. I hope she finds this comment and will take me back as a person in her life. ANNE aka *BARTONFERGUSON* please don't leave me alone. Please help me find happiness. I miss you - Tim

  • @TYoung7481 look for her on Facebook; better odds.

  • @ClearOutSamskaras Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about her to find her online. But thank you for your advice. I'm hoping that fate will be kind and that she will see our comments and reach out to me. Take care.

  • I put this on repeat when im getting ready EVERY morning.

  • @mizzystina thats lovely.

  • @TheNebraska: i wish i would have known hoagy's simple genius when i was younger .... next step for you now is to listen to jack teagarden (or peggy lee) singing old folks, a cottage for sale, don't slmoke in bed .... or any other of WILLARD ROBISON'S fabulous hoagycarmichaeloian compositions from the 20's or 30's ....)

  • i love this music sooo much. it makes me think of a time when everything seemed simpler and the day isn't rushed through. may sound lame coming from an 18 year old, but i wish i were born in this time period of Hoagy

  • Thanks for your beautiful vid. Quite a treat to hear and see images of the legendary Hoagy Carmichael. I have a vid of Stardust / Geogia On My Mind performed as a tribute to the composer. I hope to share with you.

  • I love this song, and I'd never heard this recording until the I saw the trailer for Beginners, I love it.

  • Beginners led me here.

  • I'd played this tune on gigs a thousand times, I'm sure... and then late one night, driving home from a gig, I heard this on the all-too-short-lived WQEW out of NY, and it was as if I were hearing it for the first time...

...and I finally knew what this song was all about.

  • LOVE IT!!! I've love Hoagy Carmichael since I was 4 years old!!!

  • This was in the film 'Casino'.; Love it!

  • God, this is beautiful

  • the trailer "Beginners" brought me here.

  • do you know what year this version was released? and also what album it is available on? thanks so much!

  • Nat King Cole's is the best!

  • No Louis Armstrong sings it best, but Carmichael was a fantasticly imaginitive composer, I was watchin "Casino" last night and they featured a different version of Stardust performed by him

  • Incroyable! Merci!
