Thank you. I have read up on it and its called a Polly choke I think. I was able to take off the tip which says long range but not the suppressor looking object. So maybe I can switch out the tips just wouldn't know where to get them.
@pfchernandez08 Yeah I am actually not sure, since mine does not have it. For different ones I'd check gunbroker or ebay. I was actually of the understanding that you could just twist it to whatever choke you want.
I bought the same shotgun. Model 20 for 100 bucks but mine has a suppressor looking thing on the end and it says long range on it. Can I take it off or switch out tips?
@pfchernandez08 I actually get asked about this quite a bit, so I think I'll make a video on it. I don't know if you can take it off, but if you have what I think you have, then it is an adjustable choke.
@ConnorLH55555 Um, well, I guess it really depends on what you are asking. Like, what do you want to know specifically? I can tell you that it has a fantastic trigger, a smooth action (also reliable!), and that it is made exceedingly well. I intend on having mine as a turkey hunting shotgun, as mine is a full choke. They also made a version with an adjustable choke. I would suggest taking it to a gunsmith just to be sure it is in good order, just to be safe. Any other questions?
Great to see someone has this gun! I have had mine for about 25 years it was my Fathers but I really dont know anything about it in fact can you tell me what this is/ i have what looks like it maybe an adjustable choke on the end? there is a part that screw off but I have NO idea what it is for? can you advise?
@MrScott3060 Hi there, and thank you for watching. You have the upgraded version of the weapon I have, which has a very forward thinking (at the time) adjustable choke. I believe it is called the "poly choke" system, but I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it is normal to screw the part off though, it should have adjustments labeled "Full", Mod" and "Open" (I think). I'd take it to a gunsmith or something to ask about it.
@krazybabi1018 Hi there, thank you for watching. Actually, I have never taken it down fully, I just clean out the chamber and the barrel. Frankly I don't know how to disassemble it, lol. You may want to look for videos of how to disasssemble the Mossberg 500, as it is a similar shotgun. Also, it is at my parents house, which is not in the same town as I live in. When I go to their house next time I will try to figure out how to disassemble it for you and film it for you.
This shotgun was produced prior to 1968 so it was not required to have a serial number at the time. So I don't know when exactly it was made, but that is okay and it is totally legal, so don't feel anxious about getting your shotgun without a serial number.
Nice video. Thanks for info. I did find one at local gun shop. I put it on layaway. I cant wait to get it out. My 1st shotgun. Notice, it didnt had any serial number on it. Great video.

disassembly is a snap, it has one pin and the usual screw off mag cap.
