  • soda ash or sodium bicarbonate does not have to be special ordered through the net or through any other special means. Pure 100% soda ash can be bought at any grocery store as baking soda without all the extra cost. Google baking soda if you don't believe me

  • @jacobgablesk8 Really sorry to take so long to answer. I broke my ankle just before your post. Soda ash can be ordered from any company which sells procion mx type dye: Dharma Trading, ProChemical, etc. I find it cheaper to buy it from a pool supply store. It is also used in swimming pools.

  • Thanks for this! I am going to be dyeing some fabric soon and it's my first time with Procion MX Dyes. Another video tutorial had you add the soda ash after the fabric had already soaked in dye, and I was just curious as to what the difference would be if it was added later. This video is a perfect explanation!!
