Iphone is not about performance. It has mastery in the touch screen unlike any other device and the interface is most definitely more smooth than any other device.

I, however, don't give a fuck because I'm not a hipster faggot that likes perfection in appearance. I'd rather have something almost perfect with interface and amazing with power than something super pretty and not as good.

But, seriously, I have no idea how the iPhone is so perfect with touch controls...

I have an eris.. I might switch back to my env touch till my contract is up .Its slow and the previous owner messed up the charging port so its hard to sync.. but charges ok. The battery life is horrrible on my eris. Can't go a day w/ charging and i dont even use the mobile network for internet cuz i cant! dont live in an area with verizon service.

The droid x is choppy. It in no way scrolls webpages smoother than iphone. It's shit. Your web page rendering times are shit. You are not making these test equal. The iphone always loads content first then ends on ads. The droid x doesn't even load some of the ads that the iphone does. Good browser comparison, the only tip I can give you is that when you try and load the web pages at the same time, you can tap and hold the links, and when you release them it will load. Instead of trying to just tap them at the same time.

1. The IPhone 4 was on 3G while the other two where on wifi. 2. The IPhone 4 screen light was turned way down. 3. The IPhone 4 has java for animations used in a lot of applications while the other 2 phones don't so web sites may also load faster with Java turned off. Not only is the Droid X the fastest, but it isn't even running Froyo 2.2, which is 5x faster than what the Droid X is currently using. Amazing. And on top of that, the Droid X screen is so much brighter than the iPhone 4's screen.

I find it funny how for some people its actually important if a phone loads a page 2 or 3 seconds faster than the other. Are you guys that impatient?? scrolling is perfect on the iphone (as well as pinching and zooming) except the checkerboard. But I dont mind.

I think it would be more important with a better GPU like the hummingbird platform. A better gpu would allow more intensive and fluid interfaces which I would love to see personally.

the best browser for me is still the HTc sense browser becasue of the text wrapping feature, it basically has the best implmentation of it.
