@djrock9000 So cool, This project is soooo baby compared to the last project I did :) I checked out your YouTube channel, you're into similar things I am, I'm sure if you lived near here we would be friends
Yes, very correct, there is no web server running on the Arduino, just Serial I/O.
If you wanted to bypass the need for a computer all together, you could run a small web server on the Arduino and interface with Ethernet using the WizNet chips, great fun those :)
@hyphenex could you 2 like make a dual tutorial it would be good experiance and plus i see alot of people wanting to do this i understand it was a few years ago and you might not remeber or are not intrested anymore but i think it would be good for you to show you can help others in this Arduino community :)
@TheXXSCOPEDXx okie doke. Stay tuned, this weekend will be part #1 then, how to control the Arduino via web server running on computer (to Arduino via serial link) if I get time in a few weeks I'll do one running the web server directly on the Arduino (via Ethernet module)... That's where the fun is at
Very very cool. This isn't as flashy as all of the other Arduino projects on youtube, but this is by far the most conceptually strong. Controlling Arduino over the internet is a powerful idea, and in my humble opinion, I think you should explore this more.
Projects like this are the first true steps towards ubiquitous computing. Great job!
Well, let me say one thing for you to add to your humble opinion, he is using the browser as user interface for the serial ports.... not to send data to internet...
we really need a low level tutorial for a project like that :) thanks in advance
