It used to be that when a hunter would tame a pet it would stay whatever level it was before. I would take my hunter to a starting area, tame some lvl1 beast, flag up for pvp, then send in my pet when a lowbie comes along and get the noob to attack the pet and flag up for an easy gank. Worked every time.

Lol.. i did this a couple of months back on my DK who i just muck about with.. i attacked the Tauren and then just stood there outside the bank with him hitting me.. a lvl 20-ish Priest put some heals on me and so i ran away out of the Tauren's aggro range.. he runs back and 1-hits the Priest who is like "wtf?!" felt abit bad.. but still funny :D

read it...it tells you it does not erase aggro if the mob is still in combat...but when it ISN'T in combat yes aggro gets erased (which means if your a healer or DPS who went over aggro you can shadowmeld and let the tank cause a little threat...
