  • THANK YOU! Multiple dimensions SERIOUSLY did not fit the creators of Silent Hill's MO. Their primary influences include a LOT of serial killers, Clive Barker and of course, Jacob's Ladder. The one thing that these influences all have uniquely in common is their use of alternate frames of mind. ESPECIALLY in Jacob's Ladder which was Silent Hill's origination influence. Alternate Dimensions does not fit in this wonderfully dark story whose roots are deep in the psychological. Thanks again guys <3

  • I recently replayed Silent Hill 3, and I actually don't recall actually SEEING any people in the mall before Heather hops out the bathroom window. I hear the sounds of people and cars (including the reply to the knock in the bathroom stall), but we don't actually see any people. This doesn't imply that everyone's disappeared already, but their scarcity (along with the time of day) does imply that the mall is probably close to (or past) closing time, so most of the people are leaving anyway.

  • I cant downoad the song T_T xx

  • lol. Ive been keeping up with all things silent hill since the 1st and shall i say.. extrodinary and excellent masterpeice! 2 and 3 are also amazing.. however everything else after falls flat and leaves a muddy trail of WTF. :P I hated the other games.. and the movie! WTF were they thinking.. and another one on the way.. i hope some day Silent Hill will be remade and all the wrongs set right. There must be someone in hollywood who understands this trilogy of epic win..btw your vids rule. :)

  • @CRAIGLESLIE2012 DO YOU HATE SH4? :'(

  • "Wally World" made me laugh.

  • SHAZAM!

  • Here's the way I see it. You're not supposed to be able to make sense out of the enviroments in Silent Hill. You see what the power residing in the town wants you to see.

  • Sorry to ask a stupid question but, how do you download mp3's from your site? :L

  • there's only one thing I'm confused on, is Silent Hill really supposed to be an abandoned ghost town?

  • @readordiefanatic Nope. It exists as a normal town.

  • So does the Borely Haunted Manison envoled with the Mutiple Dimension?

I could understand some of the characters' POV is different from others.

but makes me wonder what would it be if two Silent Hill games took place at the same place and same time. o_o

  • The song.

    Omfg, the song.

  • 1:07 "claudia shows up at the mall..." XD sorry but for some reason that part always makes me laugh

  • Silent Hill = Dark Mirror. Or Void Mirror. Cause when you stare into a void, the void stares back into you. -- Nietsche (feelsintelligent.jpg)

  • seems legit.

  • LOL @ Pyramid head dancing xD...

    BTW~ I love your vids!!! :D

  • LOL @ Pyramid head dancing xD...

    BTW~ I looove your vids!!! :D

  • BEST MUSIC EVER

EVEN BETTER THAN THE GAG QUARTET!!!!!!!

  • question. if silent hill is empty because people moved then why is stuff still there? when you enter buildings things are there that shouldn't be there if someone moved. unless the people were like"meh I'm too lazy to move all this crap we can just buy more let's go honey."

  • @SuperSteve180 Magic. Not really magic, per se, tbh.

Seriously, anything and everything can be explained by "Silent Hill's power makes it happen."

  • James refuses to believe there is a hole by using alcohol / repressing memories to disguise it but then when he returns to Silent Hill the hole becomes apparent and must be properly filled as opposed to simply covering it up.

This is also illustrated in parallel to Silent Hills actual development from an aboriginal home to a prison complex to a cheery holiday destination.

  • This is great, I just wanted to point out that the prison and the labyrinth were remnants that the new town was built over, hence why you could revisit them with a bit of excavation/descending to lower floors. 'There was a hole here, it's gone now' most likely refers to a cover up, but the hole still exists and requires effort to get back to.

  • Residents of Silent Hill have burned Alessa by fire because they believed that she was a witch because she had tremendous psychic powers so she decided that all of them would have fallen into her darkest dream through her magical powers.

  • @blacknessboy666 That's the movie. Unlike these guys, I like the movie for what it is, but story-wise it has very little to do with Silent Hill.

  • Residents of Silent Hill have burned up Alessa and called her a witch because she had tremendous psychic powers and then she decided to take revenge on them by turning the reality of Silent Hill into her darkest dream.

  • Mp3 download link pls

  • @MrZoider

    Done.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel so, will you stick all the videos together and put it out for download, or ill just do it at home?

  • @TwinPerfectChannel where is the link

  • @thegalen2 Song is on their website, which is in the video description.

  • It was always obvious that the nightmare takes place in our world ever since we first played SH1. It wasn't until the movie that fans started becoming confused about multiple dimensions.

Good job you guys, keep up with the commentaries.

  • The Oth---hvuvuh---orld.

  • I can see it is as one dimension that we would consider reality only split in two; similar to how Alessa the body and Alessa the soul were split. One reality being active and one "lying dormant." Upon entering Silent Hill those two halves are merged into one and the character's perception of reality is changed to see the two halves. "Your" Otherworld and "your" creatures are always present, but a condition of somekind must be met to recognize their presence.

    Maybe :/

  • This may sound insane but have you guys ever thought of bringing about a fan based team and trying to show the other companies the right way to do a silent hill game? I mean, with the knowledge that the three of you have I'm sure you could make a story on par with the original team silent. Also you could probably find plenty of people to help you. It's just frustrating that konami doesn't care for the series at all. Except the money it gives them.

  • @scree06 I've been writing my own short stories and am going to compile them and try and to get some fanfilms together...maybe I could help in that department? I think that would be a cool idea guys.

  • @TheRantingPhoenix

I thought that was the point they were making . . .

  • A simple succinct way of explaining why MDT is stupid is that it's simply unnecessary as an explanation. Stuff changed. You can every minute change to reality a "dimension" but that's just a pointless naming exercise.

Ambiguity in the series is just fine. It doesn't really matter whether people disappeared, turned into monsters, got killed or whatever because that was never a focus.

  • Burn the book of lost memories!

    Burn it!!!!

  • to all u idiots if there was a parallel dimension how did james get the letter did the dimension just send it cause it was bored or laura was to "nice" to hurt its stupid its all in reality

  • @mrmkiller You might want to play Silent Hill 4 sometime as no other game in the series has made multiple dimensions so apparent in the series as that title.

  • SH2 really confused me on dimensions, in the hospital and prison u were in the otherworld but outside was the darkworld, when u entered the hotel in the Fog World it was not the regular hotel until u left the room, but then it got really wierd because then u were in the Real World, Foggy World, and Otherworld all at once like wtf??? (btw u guys forgot Nowhere)

  • It's strange that people agree that Silent Hill has the power to suck people into another world, generate endless freaky crap, and then generate Gods out of literal thin air...but that it's impossible that it has the power to do anything in the real world.

Sounds like a case of hardheadedness to me.

  • Great videos! I loved watching them, I watch them a lot to remember the REAL story. Plus, did you hear what Konami is doing for the HD collection? Go to the Silent Hill Memories website and there is something GREAT happening! I think they listened to Guy Cihi and the others...

  • LOL Wally World

  • I made a video response for you guys that may give people a different angle to look at this subject from.

  • @M1STAWU1FY

    Accepted with GREAT JUSTICE!

  • @TwinPerfectChannel I'm still in shock that people try to use lack of people an argument. Was good way to start the video, as just help to set the stage for the brutal volley of "duh" moments, but really well put. is that Percentage of people who believe in the MD Theory? If people really cant grasp the situation, why do they pick such a broken theory. I mean the Plot Twist of SH:SM (lol) is a more plausable; wrong theory taken that it all a dream in producer or players mind or other 4th person

  • yeah i know that requires 4th wall breaking which can spoil for some.

  • The song makes me LMAO every time ><

  • I've been thinking about things, and I agree the Multiple Dimension Theory doesn't quite work, but what about different planes of reality? And they can interesect? That's why Laura can exist in the same world as James and yet not see or be affected by monsters OR any dangerous parts of Silent Hill? As you guys said, it's all affected by the state of the victim's mind, but I have a hard time buying people just temporarily disappearing, if only because that would cause further complications.

  • That song is fucking catchy.

  • @TheRantingPhoenix Cool ^^

I definitely recommend playing SH1 before running into potential spoilers though....some events in that game are truly memorable and have to be experienced. I LUV Lisa!

  • @TheRantingPhoenix Harry is attacked by Alessa's projection unwittingly because of the corrupting influence inside Alessa, the demon.

Alessa's projection of her nightmare is probably applied to everyone relevant to her world...Harry (because of Cheryl), Dahlia, Kaufman, and Cybil, because of her association with Harry.

Instead of reality constructing the dream, it's the dream (Alessa's) constructing reality. The influence of the "otherworld" reshuffles time and space.

    I think :P

  • @TheRantingPhoenix I'm not TP, but I can answer.

Monster do indeed attack Harry in SH1.

Here's an analogy of what the "otherworld" is - if the "real world" is your bed, the "otherworld" is the blanket on top of it. The Multiple Dimension Theory says that the "otherworld" is someone else's bed entirely.

  • You guys are so hilarious. <3

  • Seriously, had to come back and hear it again...lol'd and favorited.

  • That opening song is freaking beast mode.

  • Tomm Hulett says he's been getting death threats from Silent Hill fans. I don't think there will be an attempt on his life, but it wouldn't suprise me if he got a pie in the face on national TV or at the next E3. That would be funny as hell though...

  • @samael1981

That wouldn't be funny. That would be sad.

  • @AlexDergousov No it would be funny. Seeing Tom Hulett's bald head covered in banana cream pie while he stands there in shock would make me laugh. I am the only one here who will actually say this. It's not that I hate Mr. Hulett. It would just make me laugh my ass off seeing a psychotic SH fan pull something of that crazy.

  • @samael1981

    Oh! Makes sense.

  • That opening song was Johnny-Cash-eriffic!

  • Guys, I just want to congratulate you for making this videos. It's evident you spent a lot of resources in this project and you deserve the praise, especially because thanks to your explanations I understood this wonderful games better.

  • Guys, I just want to congratulate you for making this videos. It's evident you spent a lot of resources in this project and you deserve the praise, especially because thanks to your explanations I understood this wonderful games better.

  • Isn't Alessa drawing Harry into her dream =/= other dimension just word semantics? Likewise, in SH3 when the nightmare is being projected onto the "real world?" Otherworld is effectively working as another dimension...normal citizens can no longer be interacted with by Harry or Heather. In SH3, people in the mall don't see Heather swinging at imaginary monsters.

  • @Minion066 I thought about it more carefully, and I now concur...the spiritual power of the town is distorting time and space in accordance to the influencing individual, piggybacking off their psychological states. The term "otherworld" is merely the phrase used when referring to the town's tangible projection, manifested from its spiritual power. Sort of like the Overlook Hotel in the movie "the Shining." Am I understanding it right?

I think the Silent Hill movie just threw me in a loop.

  • @Minion066

Yessir! Enjoy your newfound understanding and bask in SH's gloriously crafted lore!

  • @TwinPerfectChannel I'm growing :D

    It's kind of tricky this one, because the definitions of dimensions, planes and reality aren't always universal nor clear amongst the viewers ^^;

  • I'm going to preform this at my school's open mic! Thanks for the fantastic documentary/movie/show masterpiece :D

  • you guys are super nerds !

  • My theory is that the Multiple Dimension Theory can be valid. However, all these dimensions exist within each other. It can be possible that one person (for example James) can be in the Fog World while another person (let's say Laura) is in fact in the Real World. Now, how all these dimensions collide with each other on the same time still remains a mystery to me.

However, I believe in the Multiple Dimension Thread theory.

It's a way to keep myself still sane while in Silent Hill...

  • @revenger210 Okay, after watching the entire documentary again from the beginning,I can see the now the solution.

Parallel dimensions is the plot point of the NEW Silent Hill deplicted from the movie and afterward(with the notable exception of SH:SM - tottally other thing).

The original Silent Hill(games 1 to 4)takes place in the real world.

The New one(if you can call it like that)uses the parallel dimension theory.

  • I'm definitely gonna play this song on my radio show! :D Who should I credit to (singer/musician)?

  • @RevolverBobcat

Be our guest! The song was Rosseter-made, Rosseter performed.

  • Catchy song is catchy. ^_^

  • I love you guys.

    So. . . So much.

  • I think the guys who created Homecoming obviously believe in the multiple dimension theory, i mean just look at the Hell Decent portion of the game right before you fight Scarlett (Scarlet, im not sure) and approaching the crazy church at the end of the game with the red sky that looks like you've just found a freaking oblivion gate or something.

  • Another answer to the question of where are the people in the mall... they became the monsters. Remember what Vincent said, "They look like monsters to you?" maybe the demon is not strong enough to in its infant stage to create them out of thin air, so it warps the people. Vincent sees them as people, but Heather sees them as the demon wants them to look like.

  • @Dom270385

Not necessarily. ztake a look at our other TRSHE video, "Loose Ends".

  • Originally , Silent Hill was very rich out of the alien, ambiguous mystery that comes from any Japanese horror work. Japanese horror fans embrace this WTF feeling of not knowing what it is you just saw or what its nature is.

Just pick up any Japanese horror manga or movie and see how much sense you make out of it.

Any way, thanks for all your efforts guys. Big fan.

    PS. I fucking hate Bettenhausen.

  • The only reason I thought it was another demension, was because the alternative theories were only around the notion of being a typical haluscination. This means that people thought for there to be one demension, real people are simply watching crazy people act out, almost enough for them to start calling the police on them.

Out of anybody, the people who thought it were another demension got it right at first. However, as you guys point out, the other demension was no longer needed.

  • Comment removed

  • You guys have presented excellent arguments against the Multiple Dimension Theory. However, in SH1 there HAD to be another dimension otherwise there would be no way to explain "Nowhere."

Also, why is Silent Hill 1 projecting Alessa's nightmare and inner most thoughts on the town as seen by Harry Mason whereas SH2's nightmare is projected from those of James? Should SH2's nightmare be Mary's as seen through James? Do you follow me?

  • I never understood one thing.

Leonard is a demon but its in Heather POV.

Could it be because the demensions?

  • @lDanteXO1l

The nightmare in SH3 is demon powered, but Claudia controlled. Leonard appears as a monster because of a combination of Claudia's view of him and him being "one of God's beloved".

  • @TwinPerfectChannel Oh thanks! It's that I never understood because first he's speaking human then it's growling at the same time. So it kept making me suggest there's two souls in one body.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel Well what about the whispering chant in SH2? I saw a walkthrough (without no one commentating it) and when James entered a room a woman's voice (The voice from Claudia's prayer or the Sun from the SH3 ost)

    What does it clearly says?

  • @lDanteXO1l

There is no Claudia's Prayer for the Sun in SH2. There were no references to SH3 at the time SH2 was made, as there weren't even any plans for the game yet.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel No I meant it was the voice of the woman in that OST from SH3. Sorry if you mis-read my comment. Room 2 something. I might have misheard it,Do you know anything about it? It's like a whisper. The voice I was referring to the voice in Sun.

  • @lDanteXO1l

It sounds like the whisper you mention is the one in the room you enter to get the PHead boss key, and it sounds like a man.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel It's a man? Dang I must've heard it with the volume low. Well do you guys know what it's says and what it involes in SH2?

  • @lDanteXO1l

Hahaha, we were joking that it sounds like, "See your dead wife, come home, do some laundry. Does she need me? You can see it in Carson Simpsons face."

It's nonsense, but that's how it sounds :D

  • @TwinPerfectChannel Thats deep o-o

  • Sorry. I meant the main characters thoughts and nightmares PROJECTED ONTO REALITY. Anyway, as traumatic as it may be for some, it would be interesting to hear some responses to this question.

  • I have a challenge for the creators of this video, and the viewers as well. So if the nightmare world is just the main characters thoughts and nightmares (or in SH1s case, Alessa's rather than Harry's) what would YOUR Silent Hill experience be like? What are YOUR thoughts and nightmares/phobias/idiosyncrasies? How would they manifest if YOU were called to Silent Hill? Anyone?

  • I never saw any people in sh3 pre nightmare.^^

  • @ares5566

But they could be heard in the background.

  • Could they? all I hear was an announcement speaker saying that the mall was closing in 5 minutes thus explaining why nobody would be there after heather went into the back.

  • the dog causes it all

  • What about when Vincent says

"THEY LOOK LIKE MONSTERS TO YOU?????"

although that kind of supports your argument too.

    Just morbidly.

  • I watched all of your videos and I gotta say you guys are really good. Could you explain why in the first SH Harry goes to the alley and then wakes up in the Diner with Cybil?

  • @Misato99

    She dragged him there

  • @TwinPerfectChannel

    Thanks! =)

  • @TwinPerfectChannel I'm not inclined to believe that. Harry got stabbed to death by a bunch of mumblers in the dark alley and then Cybil just happened to be strolling by, find his dead body, resuscitate him, and then drag, all by herself, a fully grown adult man a mile or so up the street and lays him down on the bar bench? Come on guys...

  • @TwinPerfectChannel

In play novel, she just find him there, I think. That said, I still don't know where its said that she did drag him there.

I'm only willing to accept this if she drug him from the crash, while he's having this crazy dream. Pretty desperate for her to just walk into some random allyway, though it is possible with the lack of people there. I say it makes more sense with him being drug from the crash, as its right there.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel Blargh! I responded to this saying that it was implausable and you deleted it! Not cool guys!

  • @samael1981 Woops! No you didnt. My b.

  • I love the ending.

  • LOL Six feet high and risin'- Johnny Cash

  • i enjoyed the song by it's self, on top of the great video series, any chance of more musicals, video game analysis or review songs are short, only good ones i can think of are this, and "dragon age reviewsical"

  • I can't tell you how much i've enjoyed these videos! They are amazing! I really hope you will make a video about Downpour, when it is released.

    Love you guys!

    Love from Denmark!

  • 90% really?.... i just must have some alien space brain, first time i even saw parts of the silent hill games, let alone seeing all way through. i always worked under assumption of perception warping or spacial warping, parrell dimensions didnt even come to mind. i mean heck kinda over kill if you think about it. whats more likly the town being tweaked by magic, or ya partaking in an entire series of Sliders, that just happens to be horror themed. but hay theses guys explain it.

  • This was extremely perfect

  • The multiple dimenstion theory actually hurts my head if i think about it too much. When i played through the game i never thought i was going through multiple dimensions.

  • god the multiple dimension theory is stupid how can anyone even believe it?

  • this video may be the best in the series, honestly. I don't know why you have to press so hard to try and prove what I thought was the most obvious thing in the series..

  • lol, why do you refuse to say "the otherworld"?

  • i have a question....maybe i've just forgotten or maybe i never knew! i get why harr was called to silent hill - because of cheryl being part of alessa - i get why heather was called to silent hill - because she is part of alessa - i get why henry was 'dragged' into silent hill - because of walter and his 'mother' - but why was james 'called' to silent hill? in the grand scheme of things i mean, what purpose was there? what was 'the point'?

  • I think I love you, TP.

  • Nice song !

  • I still don't really get your Owwughoo joke, but don't bother explaining it now.

Anyway, I'm coming around to the idea that this is just what Silent Hill is like now... come to think of it, SH4 confirms this new (old) theory as well... Silent Hill being described as having strange things happen when the fog descends. The only difference is that now the fog (and by extension, the Ogerheu) is now constantly present. The Owevhum, and it's monsters, are real. It DOES matter if they kill you, SH:SM!

  • 6,666 VIEWS SAMAEL AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • I figured there were no people because they're not relevant to the character or the story. :I

Also, if going to Silent Hill is like living your worst nightmare, why would anyone be there? It's a nightmare, not a vacation.

  • What's the name of the original song you used for the Multiple Dimension Song?

  • @zdepapepa

The Multiple Dimension Song was written and performed by Rosseter, it's all original!

  • @TwinPerfectChannel

Sorry, I got confused and thought it sounded similar to this song in Friends. :-) watch?v=1xDgC2GaHdE Yours is better.

  • @TwinPerfectChannel That's amazing. You should sell it or something.

  • Love the song of the begining.. cant stop heard it, its too funny..!!!

  • Love Ur Explanation, Very Likable ^^.

  • AWESOMENESS DIPPED IN AWESOME SAUCE WITH A CHEWY AWESOME FILLING.

  • @chucklesx123 @TwinPerfectChannel which further proves your point! why would he take over the "otherworld" when it is already technically his?

  • @chucklesx123

Yes indeed, and it also proves the god is real (for all those who think it is not).

"Just what sort of god was born, and what happened to the world?"

He talks about the god affecting the WORLD, not just the town...

  • @TwinPerfectChannel In one of the quotes in book of lost memories on page 111 owAku states that he was playing around with an ending in silent hill 3 when the god was birthed by heather and what would happen to "the world" when god took over,

  • 11:53 I HERE BY REQUEST A FULL VERSION OF THIS SONG!

  • @siemka321 I hereby request the same! xD

  • Tomm Hulett If Your Reading This Comment Fuck Yourself You Messed Up The New Series You Stupid Wanker Hope You Rot In Hell And Have Sex With Adolph Hittler You Better Pray That I Never Find Your Stupid Ass Get Your FAQS Right You Stupid Little Cockass

  • @GhostOfSparta332 i approve of this, well, time to play "good" SH games *goes and plays 1-3*

  • Great review guys,.but you forgot to mention something. Do you remember this?:

Vincent: "You’re the worst person in this room. You come here and enjoy

spilling their blood and listening to them cry out. You feel excited when

you step on them, snuffing out their lives."

Heather: "Are you talking about the monsters?"

Vincent: "Monsters...??? They look like monsters to you?"

    Heather: ...

Vincent: "Don’t worry, it’s just a joke..." Would've been interesting if you had put it on this review too!

  • First off, I'm very grateful for this video! I finally comprehend how its actually in the real world, not in fact the "otherworld". However, I'm still a bit confused about the dimension theory when applied in Silent Hill 4. For example, when Henry is knocking and shouting inside his apartment, no one is able to hear him on the outside. As well as when Henry finally exits his apartment, he automatically enters Walter's "otherworld." Is this also merely a delusion? (Thank you once again!)

  • Okay...but then what is Valtiel doing? XD Cause I've always read hes opening the way to the other world or whatever...

  • I think you should make a Kareoke (or however its spelt) version x)

  • @SilentHillFanGroup It's karaoke. =)

  • @Prayforthewolf Well, as you can clearly see, 'Karaoke' ain't my thing, otherwise, I'd be able to spell it... x)

Thanks. To Re-Comment: I think you should make a Karaoke version x)

  • @SilentHillFanGroup lol! I used to spell it wrong too. xD I only know it so well now because I've been learning Japanese... I just thought you should know the correct spelling; I wasn't being a jerk or anything.

  • !!la canción es lo mejor!!!

  • @TeamHill9

    How DARE you!?

  • The part about Silent Hill 3, after playing it again, I know where the people are...they're just aren't any people!!! The Mall was closing when Heather woke up in the resteraunt. Then she goes to the Subway, which isn't always populated with people. Unless people were expecting to see a hobo sleeping on a bench. Then the sewers, "Where's leo, raph, mikey and donny?" ...Anyway when shes in the building, its being renovated, at it's night. there wont be people in it.

  • That song was gangster. Fo'shizzle.

    I applaud your skills, gentlemen.

  • why can't you guys say the otherworld?

  • @legendarysparda09 because there's no "0th3rw0r1d" :)

  • @legendarysparda09

Because it's an improper translation of "mousou sekai", or "delusion world" (delusion implying it's coming from your mind).

  • @TwinPerfectChannel

Not sure of any official sources of the term "mousou sekai" off-hand, but we chatted with Jeremy Blaustein recently, who said that's what the original team called it. He also confirmed that the original team did NOT have multiple dimensions in mind.

  • oh ok, I get it now, thank you!!!

  • It's funny. The whole 'dimensions" theory didn't occur after the SH movie came out.

  • I say! Chaps, Capital video, riveting argument and presentation. And- egad! Even the UFO endings agree with it. Why would the aliens destroy the "real world" town of Silent Hill unless it was all of Silent Hill.

lol I really have to meditate upon this. The Multi-Dem just exists and is plausible but this unidimensional theory kicks all others in the ass.

  • You are making this more complicated then it is. There are two dimensions to SH. The real world... the town, where nothing creepy happens besides a few cult rumors.

And then the Otherworld, founded by the manifestation of Alessa's twisted mind. Those who condemned her are haunted by their own nightmares and regrets and guilt; the ultimate revenge, really. Their own personal purgatory. Will they seek redemption, or be forever lost in the darkness?

  • @paulblasi4

Harry: "It's being invaded by the Otherworld."

TwinPerfect: "Which world? The real world? Because that's what he means. If it's just the two dimensions theory, then what he's saying is that the other dimension is being invaded by itself..."

And Alessa isn't a vengeful being. SHE IS GOOD. NOT EVIL.

Even if the dimensions theory seems to be more simple, there are still many pieces of evidence that proves it wrong.

  • @bluerubyvideos Alessa is indeed a vengeful being. She was a child after all, given way too much power. There is no black and white good and evil, and her actions are what you make of them. The dimensions theory isn't a theory. That's how it is in the game. Reality is twisted, perceived by the protagonist. There is only the real world, and the world created by Alessa. Done. It is simple. There is no argument.

  • 11:50 I keep replaying that part. XD You guys should make it into a full song!

  • I don't quite understand why people want all the answers to everything that is not fully explained in Silent Hill, I find the ambiguity to be attractive and I enjoy the fact that the makers of the Silent Hill games don't simply want to take me by the hand on this experience. Its the lack of answers or logical reasoning that creates the mood, and actually makes the games frightening, I mean not knowing everything or being left in the 'dark' is frightening.

  • @CooSharn

There are those who want full ambiguity, and others who want to understand it all, and seek structure. The latter is able to find answers, and come to logical conclusions because there is information scattered throughout the game to compile to do so. There is a lot of ambiguity in the series, but the important story elements are all present, and explained.

But it's just a matter of how you enjoy the games. =)

  • @CooSharn It IS called a theory after all.

  • @CooSharn

That can be true to one point, but if people don't get silent hill, then its also possible for them to not understand how its psychological.

Just look at the arcade or other. They print the otherworld out to be "purgatory world". Just some place for the dead and the rising of evil from....another demension....actually.

It is not at all psychological nor ambiguous, as we all know the crappy "devil punishing us for our sins" bull crap.

  • in the beginning when you said "silent hill fans subscribe" i realized i hadnt subscribed to you yet. Thanks!

and @the theory....maybe EVERYBODY the player encounters is produced by the nightmare world?... like maria

  • I still think Senor Fungo should do some TRSHE.
