Detox is probably the hardest thing I ever did in my life, on my own without help, clinic or whatever. I would rather to had my both legs broken than to do a detox again. All I have to say for those who are doing their detox, don't give up guys, be strong and once it's done, you will be happy and proud of you, believe me.

A friend of mine just got on facebook with his girlfriend. His girlfriend, Madi, pretended to be him and saying he was high. I was terrified, because drugs have destroyed my family. He's thirteen. After they had a laugh and told me it was all a joke, I started crying. I didn't know what I should do. I nearly told my dad cos I didn't want one of my best friends destroying himself.

@vecf1 My immediate family is pretty much alright, but drugs have done some bad things to my cousins and aunts and stuff. And my sisters boyfriend was high while taking care of her four year old and one year old daughters, so...

@LiesBehindMirrors You did the reasonable thing, Drugs make you you'r own enemy, and that's where friends and family can step in to help, just don't ever judge person because of their abuse, and never feel pity for somebody thats addicted, it will only make them feel worse, just show them that youre there for them wether they want it or not.
My brother overdosed on heroin 2 months ago. I lost everything to my own addiction but could never quit, once I lost him to addiction I realized I needed to clean up or I'd be six feet under as well. Still struggling with it but doing better. Just remember, you can quit. It isn't easy but it isn't impossible either....

When one of my best friends, a person that makes up nearly 85% of my little world, nearly died from a Heroin over dose. I nearly lost it bacause I spent almost four days trying to get ahold of him or someone that could get ahold of him for me because I was out of town, nobody that knew told me a damned thing during that time. When I got home I finally cornered another friend of mine and made him tell me, when he did I regreted making him tell me what was going on. I went to the hospital to see
him and he still hadn't woken up. He had been there for about three days.
That was a year ago, and now I only have 15% of my little world left. He never quit his drugs. That is he didn't quit until they took his life. It only took him about four months for him to actually succeed in what he was trying for. And no matter what I did, it never helped, he wouldn't take anything else as an option.

I can't believe someone would even try to compare a weed "addiction" to heroin. Obviously you've never been through heroin withdraw, so if I were you, I wouldn't speak on things that you're ignorant about. It literally feels like you're dying. There's no other way to put it. I think.. It's quite inspiring that he was able to write such a personal song about himself and actually share it with the world. I have both his books, and its amazing at the things he went through with his addictions and everything. It gives hope to those that think they are the only ones dealing with it. I personally have never had to deal with an addiction to drugs or alcohol but I know people that have.
