  • Wow. How could 12 mega pixels be too much for a photographer? I'm pretty confident that the more pixels result in a sharper more concise picture. This guy is blagging.

  • cheking out videos ? it doesn't shoot video

  • @hardcorefrom94 its actually quite a good add

  • you know jack shit about photography dont quit your day job

  • lolhe could of just held the capture button halfway and it auto focuses

  • "the live view screen its cool for chdcking out videos"

FUCK OFF MAN AND GET A NEW JOB

  • ahahaha

  • '

is the film inside this camera

  • Or buy second hand 40D...

  • why buy a camera and just take pictures. buy a 9 in one and take picture, video, listen to mp3's, mp4's, voice recording, webcam, mass storage all in one!

check out this video for more

  • In my opinion, Nikon render colors in a vivid kind of thing. Out of the box, pictures taken by (i think) any Nikon DSLR, colors pops out, the reds, the greens, the blues are bright and adds to the feeling of a very vivid photo.

As for canon, the colors are natural. It is like what your eyes can see, the canon renders the colors as what your very own eye saw. (depends on the lens of course).

  • AFAIK you can get wild colors with the canon by using +4 saturation settings.

  • as i said, directly out of the box, without further tweaking of the internal controls.

  • tang ina wlang sound yta ako ah

  • AMEN!

  • i just bought my first dSLR. it's the EOS 450D. this was after months of reading the reviews of both (d60 and 450d) and their next higher end models, i'd even downloaded manuals of both and read them. i'd say, you cannot compare d60 to 450d, they're not on the same level. 450d to D80 or even the D90 i think. i love the d60 handling and body, to me it's more "sexier" than the 450d, BUT i love the 450d's AEB, WB bracketing, direct access button (you can even program the "SET" button).

  • That's what I was thinking...I'm like, "Well of course the 450D is better than the D60. They're not even at the same level!"

  • nikon d60 has a function button you can program to

and the d80 and d90 will always dominate the 450d

you dont know what the fuck your talking about

  • im bieng sarcastic

  • hahahahagagaga

  • can be good in one way XD

  • how can i get the comment to appear on my photos? it is already ON in the camera but not when i print them.

  • Nick-On? I always thought it was pronounced N-I-Kon.

  • depends who you are, but both are correct.

  • For Canon check out the World of EOS it has great online tutorials and chances to post your favorite pictures and win a Canon 500D Single IS kit.

  • Forget all specs, which entry level camera produce the most pleasing image quality for the eye, if you were to compare the results side by side, D60 vs a XSi or something comparable like this. I tend to believe the canon is superior with a crispier and a sharper image than the Nikon. Anyone agree or disagree> please reason, I am planning to buy between a xsi or a the new D5000. I don't want to hear biases, plz if you have very good personal experience with the two brands, give me a feedback.

  • I got the Nikon D60 because it's cheaper. I believe both the D60 and 450D gives quality pictures. The 450D has more features. In my country the D60 is 8k cheaper than the 450D and since I saved 8k I can buy additional lens with it. :-)

  • thx

  • I think he might be the worst presenter. Ever.

  • from what i can gather its a choice between nikon & canon for the best DSLR'S? the olympus are not so good are they. I've heard that to get 35mm film results on digital you need 20mp but this was off some youtube forum freak i heard so who knows. i have a canon g7 and am tempted to upgrade to a digital slr. WOuld i definitely notice the difference on a nikon d80 or something similar or would i be wasting my money for little quality increase? i've decided to not nother with the d 90 due gimmik

  • what's the lens attached ? i'm sure its not the kit lens :/

  • with D60 i can win canon easy ...

  • im considering between d60 and and eos450d.why do you say d60 is better? thanx

  • does any dslr really give the look of film.

  • most dslr give better results than 35mm films.

if you want the look of film just play in photoshop to get what you want.

  • we cant record on the first camera ? can we?

  • video? no.

if you want video with a dslr go for the Nikon D90.

  • the video feature is crap and they disabled autofocusing while filming on purphouse to ensure people are forced to buy a video camera

  • And you guys should know that XSi and D60 aren't in the same league.

XSi: 12MP, 9 AF points, bigger VF, battery grip (optional), 3.5fps, mirror lock-up, 3" LCD, Live View, DOF preview, bracketing, etc.

D60: 10MP, 3 AF points, no battery grip, 3fps, no mirror lock-up, 2.5" LCD, no Live View, no DOF preview, no bracketing, etc.

  • Sounds like you know a lot.:) What is the thinking--is it "purist" or more pro-styled sort of--to have no live-view, there in back on the screen? Realise that I HAVE a D-60 so it was a sweet gift yesterday, so I do not wish for someone to cut it down too, too much. By the way, I like a "real camera" with weight, and no one talks about that aspect--a real camera with real metal. I get annoyed at these dismissive statements about light weight. I never wanted a toy camera. But: why no live view??

  • @UnWaXeD74 you can tell the specs by the price, the 450D is like near $1100

and the d60 is like $800

  • @cjgan80 uhm... where do you live? cuz the 450D body is 499€ here... if you bought the $1100 version, YOU GOT RIPPED OFF. no offense

  • You must be kidding. D60 only has 3 AF points while XSi has 9! XSi's viewfinder is larger and brighter than D60's. And for color and clarity, haven't you heard of Photoshop? :-)

  • D60 is the better choice, ive found i can get better color and clarity using the D60. Thus i can get some really amazing images from the camera :).

  • XSi is better by a mile...it has a live view!!! D60 doesn't.

  • U know when u buy a DSLR u dont think initially if a cam has live viewor not, because DSLR's are about viewfinders, so i think the D60 is better

  • Why do you need live view?

  • well.. macro.. and some tricky-angle photos...

  • It helps for Macro and for people learning how shutter speeds, aperture settings, and ISO effect their picture before they take it.

  • You can shoot easily great pic without LiveView on D60.

I'm owner of D60, but also use EOS 450. For newbies in photo, i should advice D60.

I think even if you buy Kit VR Lense (D60) - it'll be good deal - but it's better to buy body with additional better, then 18-55 lense.

By the way, if you are more skilled photographer or Canon-system user you could buy EOS 450 - this camera has more universal system and a bit more functions.

I hope, you'll enjoy both of them despite of your selection

  • i am a beginer in dslr..i got my d60 but im not totaly satisfied when i take pictures indoor...so is the canon better with the indoor pictures...the d60 doenst give a vivid indoor colors or im not using it well ...plz help

  • You must know, that the main thing in your camera is lence, which influences to the pictures much more than body. Of course, standart 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 is awful.

Canon-kit doesn't make real better indoor photos in this segment.

So first time you have to buy a good lence with aperture at least 2.8. If you need a zoom, you could look a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. It's very good lence, but you must test it very attentively, especially if it was made not in Japan. You don't need to buy 1000$+ lence!

  • The Nikon-made lenses are extremely expensive, but there some good price\quality lenses to D60 over there, like Nikon 35mm f/1.8. So you must also buy a flash, like Nikon SB-600. It costs less than 200$ on Ebay - that's a good deal.

So that's decigion of your "indoor-problem" - middle-class lense (with filters, of course) and middle-class flash.

  • Rule #7: SET YOUR GODDAMN WHITE BALANCE. <--- That might be why, racha1982. :)

  • so which is better you suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkksssssssssssss ?????????????????????????? say it and finish this fuckin case with it

  • so what would you buy a 450d canon or a nikon d40/60

  • I bought a 450D because the D40/60 can't handle Nikon's primes. Nikon's primes need a focus coupling, Canon's stuff just works.

  • i have nikon d60 and im happy to i bought nikon :)

  • When the fuck did he say anything about the D60?

  • look at part 2 of 2

  • can one of you fucking genius's make a better video then? give the bloke a break, either post a response correcting him or shut up. your not helping anyone with your useless jargon and criticism of the video, he is much more useful than you lot.

  • ROFL BLOKE!

  • how can a camera have any respect if it doesn't have CF? wtf? canon must be smooking pot.. up 2MP and removal of CF, with SD.. srsly. dumb... lens are nice though :)

  • people always bitch about high mega pixels

stop being so cheap 1tb drives are now 150$ and you can always yous a photo software to re-size the picture

i can't wait for the first affordable 15mp that will produce a resolution as close to the original 35mm film.

  • the BIGGEST change is the 10mp to 12 mp change? WTF? there's so much more to it, two more MP mean nothing!!!

  • Nice glare in your face.

  • ahhhh!!!! that transition is so annoying.

  • LMAO what a retard slow down asswipe

  • "Really impressive for checking out videos" NOOB

  • haha

  • where do i get direct comparison between 450 and nikon d 60. Does both have live view? I wanna buy it this week..can't wait!!

  • D60 doesn't have live view

  • Am I missing something? No Nikons in that video.

  • this is part one mister

  • why is the man "bouncing" while talking? o.O

  • not bad for a cheap DSLR but change that lens as soon as you can afford it ,its OK to get you started but you will soon get fed up with the frindging...4/5 body..3/5 lens.or go for the 40D & look for a good S/H lens this is another good starter combo..nice but i still prefer Film..and you dont have to multiply your focal length by 1.6 times ..sorry but im old school.. klik & enjoy...

  • they forget to made the viewfinder a little bigger, advice if you already have an 350d or 400dand you want to buy a new camera ... don't go for 450 go for 40d or better 5d ;), but you already know it ... the lens and the person who shoot made an photo!!!!

  • the canon xti is the entry level dslr --canon is continuing production -they state that this is level above the entry level units.

  • thank god they put a better lens on it

  • bella bestia.
