@tranquility62ify I would exchange my whole lifetime to see them live once, LUCKY YOU! You saw Freddie, have you any idea how big that is! Ahh i'm so jealous
There was so much production-quality filming done at the Wembley concerts the previous month, and this concert at Knebworth was something of an add-on to the tour anyway. The decision not to perform live again wasn't made until the following year when Freddie was diagnosed. So they just didn't have any idea at the time that this would be Queen's last performance with Freddie. It is a shame that better-quality footage isn't available ... but at least we do have Wembley ...
Freddie should still be with us. Reading accounts of his illness and the effects that it had on him, makes truly tragic reading. I am so pleased we have these videos and live footage to help remember him for wht he was, an unrivalled rock legend. RIP Freddie.....The show must go on.
I was there in August and the 2 nights at Wembley and Manchester (3 times in 5 dyays...) In Manchester I was about 10 feet from Freddie which was ridiculously close compared to Wembley where there was well over 20 feet of space before the stage. Seeing him and I am not making this up with hindsight I knew he was a 20 th Century Century Motzart - he was there singing and performing the songs he had written ... and he knew it ...
yeh welshman - they sold too many tickets - I was squashed but contented - what a sight, to be part of it too - ive been a few gigs but non top that day
Mercury's final live performance with Queen took place on 9 August 1986 at Knebworth Park in England and drew an attendance estimated as high as 300,000
A few чears ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babчsitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue. The clown statue is reallч a killer that escaped from jail. If чou don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in чour bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
bostonmurf...I am SO jealous!! You actually SAW FREDDIE?? Oh my God!! What I would give to have seen him!! No one will ever come close to FREDDIE'S magic on stage!!!....NEVER!!!
FREDDIE WAS A MASTER!...A GENIUS!!
I have seen so many groups...from The Rolling Stones to Elton John, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, and a whole lot more that I can't even remember!! I can barely recall who I saw, nevermind the show!! But the minute I saw FREDDIE, I was hooked! Big time! He's AMAZING & UNFORGETTABLE!!!!

Having seen some of the Knebworth footage Fred's voice sounds a lot better than it did at Wembley. This should have been the live album.

Closely listen to an Inception dvd made prior to the January the 8th Tucson shooting, especially around the dialogue, "Do It."

Ver a la multitud en knebworth aplaudiendo al ritmo de Radio ga-ga es maravilloso.
