  • @middiablo my audacity [audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode)] doesn't have a "project" button. can you tell me what to do now?

  • @Videomaster5555 Try using a stable release rather than a beta. Not sure about the new beta because I haven't used Audacity in a long time.

  • thank you

  • when i add audio to remove vocal. . .my audacity is showing only one track. . .in that i dont have option to split track . .help me out

  • Thanks man!

  • There's a bug in saving mp3 files in my Mac version of Audacity. When you type in the info for the mp3 tags, the hotkeys for the tracks are still active, ie. if I press space when I'm entering song information the music starts to play or if I press the "r" it hits the record button so it messes up my recording. I can't enter tags with the letter "r" because of this. Anyone has the same problem?

  • Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for how to put many tracks at the same time! :D

  • thanks FINALLY a straight forward video. there is so much nonsense on here. this one is good!

  • you forgot to remove that empty track before exporting :P

  • How did you put 2 sounds on there?

  • thanks..informative and straight to the point

  • Very close to what I'm trying to do now.

I am recording cassettes using Audacity with the Lame encoder installed.

However the program is chopping my cassettes into tiny clips about 12 seconds each.

So for instance on one project I have nearly 175 clips that I now need to put into one file so I can save them as an mp3?

Is there a way to have Audacity record my cassettes as ONE file?

Or if not,a faster way to restore the 12 second clips to one file?

    Thanks

  • when i hit control B nothing happens man!!! :( wtf??

  • @epiphone12345678999 V as in Volcano

  • @middiablo you dont av to say "volcano" since its a writing. lol

  • @MyDonald45 lmao Good point!

  • @middiablo lmao... nice. Next time can u use full screen? I cant see! Appreciated!

  • @MyDonald45 lmfao

  • @epiphone12345678999 It's CTRL + V... not 'B'.

  • @mcrandall haha yeah thanks LOL

  • i agree

  • @middiablo

    wait...so this dosent work?

  • HAHA!! XD i tried this but when i did it my tracks combined were sped up!!!! HA! they sound like chipmucks!!!

  • wow wen i push command x it cuts my whole thing wata heck man

  • Title should be Append Audio Tracks, not Combine Audio Tracks, otherwise nice job.

  • Perfect and to the point. Just what I needed right now. THANKS!!

  • you sound soo happy

  • Can someone tell me how to record another track while listening to the previous one WITHOUT the previous track being recorded as well...if this makes sense..DESPARATE HELP NEEDED!!!!

  • @lilballer423 I don't know how combining audio tracks in Audacity could break ANYones computer. lol good one :P Actually, that really couldn't happen. Unless you combined the audio clips, then picked up your computer and threw it out the window. How you blame ME for that is unbelievable. lol

  • @middiablo wait wait wait... you didnt say to pick up my computer and throw it out my window?!

  • @middiablo He was only using 'windows' as he was told to.

  • lol u sound like jeff goldblum

  • when audacity pass from a one recording to another (speech), there is noise between them (like knocking the door if you know what I mean). I thought that was recorded but I discovered that audacity does that when passing to another recording. How to avoid that?

  • This was really helpful! Thank you so much! =)

  • alright, lets say i have two seperate audio tracks, and they pplay over one another (im recording using a guitar) and this is relativly into the song so i can't just export it right now, how do i combine them into one stream audio track

  • @Jmyster4 Windows movie maker audio tracks :D

  • sexy voice...

  • When I paste the second track, it just speeds up for no reason....

  • @TheAndyLoraProgram its because the songs have a different sample rate (i.e 44100Hz, 48000Hz etc) you need to adjust pitch to fix it

  • this tutorial always helps me out, thank you sir.

  • Daytripper,, woohoo !

  • thank you very much for this video

  • Thanks! On my PC I could not figure out the commands to do this but I used the short but keys!

  • Do you mean Control X???

  • @justinkramer123456 hes on an apple. just do a normal cut and paste (or even copy and paste)

  • whats comand x

  • @W1CK3DMVSX3 the same thing as Control + X on a Windows based PC. On a Mac, it's Command + X to "Cut".

  • @middiablo Lol i was Stupid i was pressing option + X thats why its not working

  • @iTechNetwork DOH!

  • This is the worst fucking thing ever.

  • @Tezasaurus Well, tell me how you REALLY feel. Ya know. Don't hold back, man. :)

  • Im so glad that your so enthusiastic and full of life!!!

  • Your enthusiasm was the best part

  • Yeah, I was really upbeat that day. haha

  • Hahaha, for sure. This is such a good program, thanks for posting help videos and stuff. Do you know why I might have problems using VST plugins on audacity 1.3 beta? I can use freeverb but when I try downloading other VST plugins, they won't show up in my effects bar

  • Nope, I have no idea. Come to think of it, I've never even used a plugin for Audacity other than the LAME MP3. I'll have to give that a try. In the meantime, i reckon you can check the audacity forum over at...uhh....There's one post in particular. I'll message you the link.

  • thks babi

  • Dude, your tutorial works perfectly thanks. You were barely audible though, maybe next time speak a bit louder.

  • perfect,just what i was looking for,thz

  • what keys do u press with command x and command b because i can't find it please reply

  • It's command + x to cut (control + x in Windows and Linux), and command + v to paste (control + v in Windows and Linux). Or you can just go up to the Edit menu and click Cut, and then Paste.

  • if you can't find project on the top whats another way you can do this.

  • You could just go to FIle > Open. And then Edit > Select All, then copy, then click back over in the other window, click where you want the insertion and then paste.

  • thanks

  • ive just tried doing this and it comes up with some shit about LAME ?? can you help out? its a recorded track on an Apple Mac

  • Download the LAME mp3 encoder. I'll put a link up in the description.

  • well, actally, I still am comfused.. ^_^

what do you do to paste it on again?

  • ohhh, I see. thanks! ^_^

  • Thanks

I use Audacity to mix the 2 tracks
