@JCrownwell How are you so sure to be so Easy in Real-Life? Even a pilot takes time to learn how to refuel in mid-air perfectly that you said its easier in Real Life than Simulator?
It's not based on personal experience. It's based upon the testimony of pilots who've trained for mid-air refuelling.
Apparently, in real life, the aircraft being fuelled stabilises with the slipstream of the larger refuelling aircraft, making it less likely to yaw or pitch out of synchronisation.
This phenomenon is something that even military simulators don't model.
Pretty sure the negative votes are for the godawful music. Respect for your flying though, A2A refueling is fucking horribad... have lost many an A-10 in DCS to it :(
@SwissGuitarStarter A mission? Tankers are flying in all of the campaigns in a big numbers ;) Just ask AWACS for a direction, change your radio frequency to nearest tanker, climb to 25000 feet, turn on your lights, open air-refuel doors, ask tanker to pre contact position, close to tanker's belly and ask say to him that you are ready to take fuel. After refueled, say thank to tanker, so your wingmans will be able to refuel too, switch off your lights, and close the air-refual bay.

This was the main reason why I switched to BMS. The refueling on FF5 is not accurate to real life situations, good job trying to refuel!

Apparently this is easier to do in real life than in a simulator. Something to do with slipstream stabilisation.
