@josh666675 i own the car, and i have had it for a year. Best car for all around use, my mpg is 20's low and 24-25 high but then again. I do speed sometimes lol
this car is the best car ive have own this one has more options than mine i have a 06 fusion sel v6 and i think it has horse power to be a family car sometimes i forget i am driving a family car and i slam on it lol but over i love it great look and its reliable
Mine is a 2009 SEL V6, and I have to say, I've gotten 33 MPG when going about 65. I've gotten 29 MPG while going 75 on the interstate, it really depends on how you drive the car. I tend to have a heavy foot in most cases, lol
And there was a comment that the Fusion doesn't get good mileage. How does 34 combined sound in real world rent-a-car driving. If he's getting less, it's because of the way he drives, not because of the car!
I move cars for Hertz, so I get to drive all makes and models. The Fusion is superior to the Camry and Accord in comfort and power. Fusion has less vibration too!
The 4 or V-6 will outrun the Camry and Accord...been there done that!
The Camry is getting so large it's doesn't feel dependable moving in and out of traffic. Too many blind spots in the Accord.
Before spending money on a foreign car, check out the Fusion. I was pleasantly surprised!
I just drove a 2010 accord and while it was nice...it's too big now...doesn't feel as sporty as my 2005 accord does....It was a nice car...I'm going to take a look at the Fusion and probably Altima for that "sporty" family hauler experience...they both have better proportions...and a Camry is just blah
the new 2010 fusion is alot better, it has more hp on each engine and comes with a 3.5l option. And a hybrid option. All the fuel economy numbers increased too. They look very nice.
my friend has one of these with only 1500 miles on it. Its a pretty nice car but i dont get how its an Economy car. I look at his dash all the time and the best ive seen it is 22mpg. My camaro gets 25, the 90 bmw gets 30ish and the morris gets 35-40.
It's all in the way and where it's driven. Drive the Fusion with a heavy foot and it will gulp down the gas. You might have a lighter foot then your friend ... :)
My friend does tend to drive it a little ridiculously because he thinks its a sports car. But Theres been times where we are cruising on flat ground in a straight line at 65 and its at 22. usually its 18 though. Im willing to bet I could drive it and get better gas mileage since Ive driven alot of cars and the fusion is his first and only one, but im not too impressed.
I was really suprised when i saw 31 in the video. And i was also suprised about the lighted cupholders. really cool actually.
The trick with the Fusion - like many cars with good automatic transmissions - is to drive with inertia and barely touch the throttle once you've hit your target speed.
I'm looking forward to putting the new Fusion Hybrid to a week-long test ... I've only driven it briefly. That one can really roll up the MPGs.
mine is a 2006 SEL it didn't come with Sync because it wasn't around at the time but i can add Sync if i want to for a few 100 dollars the ford dealer told me.
Now do a Camry v6. It does 0-60 in about 5.9 Seconds!

@Mrjmoyer78 Remember the Nissan has a CVT now, so that isn't quite as sporty.

Hey it seems as if you are going by the computers mpg in " most " of your videos. Shouldn't you hand calculating all your mpg info?
montean 2 years ago
Indeed. We calculate combined mileage based on actual (and most often multiple) tank fills.

31 on the highway is impressive...

Pretty nice, 31 mpg for the v6 on the highway, we have a inline-4 Milan and it gets around 35-40 on the highway.
